Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Renegade had always been a loner. Pack life had never appealed to him; he had never been one for undying loyalty to another entity. Politics confused him, all the alliances and treaties and wars. He had never really wanted to associate with all of that, and besides, not many alphas wanted someone of his... affiliation. Nevertheless, he had always been quite content on his own. Until he met his longtime partner, and his best friend. The wolf's ears flattened against his skull, his crimson eyes narrowing. Renegade didn't want to think about his partner anymore, maybe at some point he would be able to face what happened, but right now it was too soon. Right now he just had to focus on staying under the radar, and avoiding anyone from his old home should they still be looking for him. That was the most important thing.

The tri-colored wolf continued to pick his way over the rocky terrain, rather grumpy still at the fact that this terrain was rather hard to traverse. Rather than go around it he had chosen to be stubborn and press on through the crags, so it was really no one's fault but his own; however, Renegade would not readily admit that. Stubborn was indeed a word that would describe the male. The small, wiry male whipped around as he heard another voice, signalling that he was not alone out here. His ears flattened against his head and he puffed up defensively. He watched as the youthful ebon brute jumped down and approached him. The other was much larger than he was, but Renegade wasn't afraid of him. Size wasn't everything, after all. Red eyes glanced quickly around, looking for the best escape route should things go south. But Renegade would wait, for now, perhaps this younger male could help him, tell him where he had found himself.

"Whatsit to ya?" Renegade said in his drawling, cocky voice, his head held high and tail raised. The dominant stance came naturally to him, and it was something he could count on in a new land, granted these wolves weren't completely different to the ones he had grown up with. It was a cover-up, really; he was quite unsettled and tired from being on the run, and sad at the loss of his best friend.

The next statement evoked a guttural chuckle from Renegade, his maw settling into a toothy grin. "Don't think I need anyone to protect me, pal." his tone wasn't threatening, but rather amused. Perhaps his small stature made it seem like he needed protection or something of the sort, but it couldn't be further from the truth. "An' I don't think I'm prepared to let myself get eaten, either." the russet male said with an amused twinkle in his red eyes.
