The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The fae felt an urge to comfort the brute as she saw the panic rising in his soul, a panic that would never hit her because all of her life she had been raised to think as Athene thought. The first duty is to the pack, to the family. Continue the line, continue your job and your history. Leave and start anew should threaten to destroy you and your way of life. Suddenly, the brute exploded at her. Why was I so blind? How could this small little distraction sweep me in the wrong direction?! Why would this ever be the place where she would go??!! Oh. My. God. The brute’s dark form disappeared into the darkness and Hellene scrambled on the gravel, falling to her belly and tumbling down the slope for a brief few moments before she managed to get her paws beneath her solidly. She just barely managed to hear his words echo through the cavern, his yells shaking, it seemed, the very walls surrounding her. And that was when she saw the first drop fall. Hellene was no fool, and she took to heart the words of the story that Zev had told her. She exited the abysmal cavern just as it began to pour through the opening. With that thundering behind her, she scurried through the tight trails of the pathway, scraping her pelt against the slick walls more than once. “Zev! Wait!

Trickles of water began to wetten her pads and she fled from the coming water as if it was a demon on her heels and in truth it was. Whether the titanous fish were real or not, she had no desire to determine for herself. Amber orbs caught sight of the dark form as he leapt up the steep staircase, his tall form making it easy. Adrenaline pushed her forward, ever faster. Daggers unsheathed, she leapt up the steps, digging in and hold on so strongly that her pads began to bleed but it was all worth it. As she reached the top, she looked down and thought she saw a flash of silver followed by a dark form and turned away, for once her curiosity not holding sway over her. “Zev, where did you go! What staircase were you talking about!” Her orbs made her think that perhaps she was going insane as she saw but his shadow slip around a corner but he was her only link to the secret paths of this cavern and her only link to Athene. Every other second she changed direction, following him for what seemed like hours, and yet it was mere minutes. The timberess blinked away the blinding light and with her lids closed followed him, listening to only his sounds. She heard him turn down another alley and followed him, lids opening only once it was dark enough for her adjusted pupils, and it was then that she wished for the light once more as a darkness loomed over her. “Zev… I can’t see anything, slow up!” She sighed and blinked, weariness starting to overcome her, when suddenly she stopped in her tracks. “Zev! Stop!” The faintest of breezes was coming – it only made sense, if this staircase led anywhere to the extremities. But upon it there was a taste, a scent, one that she had been intertwined with for most of her life. “Athene…Athene!” She ran forward, only to run into a ledge at the level of her chest. Carefully, blindly, she scrambled upon it and slowly inched her way forward until she found its edge. Blinking, her pupils adjusted just enough to see the form of another shelf feet away. Looking down, she saw only the abyss of a valley. “Athene… Don’t leave! I’m coming! Zev is coming! We are here for you!” With that, she leaned her weight onto her haunches and exploded, hoping against hope that she had not miscalculated the distance.
