Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Her mother had always been some kind of beacon to her, a shining light that seemed so unobtainable. Not only was she infinitely beautiful but she was strong, too, and not just in her body. As a whole, she'd always grown up looking up to the two of them, admiring the love her mother and father had for one another and yet... she'd always looked up to her mother just a little more. It was just by luck that her father had been more alike to her, even though she wanted to be more like her mother. Even now, she acted entirely different towards her mother, bowing in her respects and slipping in close beside her. With her father, she was more talking and eye rolling. Things had always been more subtle with her mother.

As her mother moved to lick at her face, she rolled her eyes and huffed, resigning to her fate of forever being her child. Still, she pushed into her mother in a playful matter, leaving no question about her disgruntlement. She was mad! The other girl was annoying and Cersei wanted to force her into the ground! Why was her mother trying to clean her?! She huffed again, playfully nipping at her mother though really, she was just preparing to vent. She wanted to explode but it seemed so... well, sort of selfish to do that straight away. She hadn't gotten to spend time with her mother in what seemed like such a long time...

As her mother moved ahead, she paused for a moment to consider what it was that her mother could be doing - where were they going? Around the borders? She tilted her head then, nodding in confirmation before she dashed once more to her mother's side. Yeah, she could do borders. She did them plenty of times but... probably not as well as her mother had. Her mother knew how to be a true Alpha - strong, empowered, deceptively passive when the time called for it - so she could learn from her in any situation really. Is that what she needed to be? Did she need to learn how to be quiet like her mother? Cersei found herself frowning in thought.

"Mother..."

She began her question quietly, turning to look her mother into the eye for a moment before she continued, swallowing a hard lump in her throat once more.

"Mother... there's a girl that won't accept who I am. She acts like I'm not an heir. Why? I tried to beat her, but she doesn't care."

She had to stop herself from sounding almost sad, and instead, her voice crackled with a fierce anger.
