The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

(found it! For the first time in forever she might have to show some meanness to assert her point. :P I gots another one up my sleeve ;) *also theres a song that is perfect for this thread xD Its called the ballad of mona lisa by Panic! at the Disco. Its my muse song and as I was listening to it I realized the lyrics were perfect for what was going on here xD*

I knew I was coming off as evasive, and it only fed into insatiable desire to uncover other's secrets. I think he might have believed me if my attempts to keep hidden weren't so desperate. But it was far too late to run from the situation. I was going to have to drag this lie to the bitter end, because telling him was not an option. I did not trust him, I knew little about him and the effort he put into trying to get me to spill my secrets made me uncomfortable being near him. We were two very different wolves. I was warm while he was cold. The hot and the cold are both so intense, put them together and you get an interesting reaction.

It didn't take me long to figure out his ploy. He was deliberately doing things in an attempt to annoy me. If I was aggravated I was more likely to say something i'd regret, something he could use to slowly pull my past out of me. Fortunately, he didn't know how much patience I had for his games. Or what it would take to get me to spill, and he was going in the wrong direction for that. If he could build up my trust I might think to tell him, but he was pushing me into more and more lies. Both of us had an upper hand in this little game of cat and mouse, but I was a mouse with many tricks up my sleeve to fool the ever persistent cat.

I watched him grin even wider when I shuttered. I'd never met a wolf like him before, so mysterious, so interested in another's business. It intrigued me slightly, I wanted to know what he did when he got what he wanted. He couldn't do anything to me, except go find the rogues that were on my tail. That was what kept my trust chained up. If things hadn't gone the way they had in my life I might have tried to befriend this enigma. One thing I knew about Enderly, is that I was not going to get rid of him. The only thing I could do know was trick him, tango with his questions and slip all suspicion from his mind. He would get nothing out of me I was not willing to give: no aggression, no secrets. It was going to be increasingly hard, but I knew where I had to start.

He frowned, but it quickly vanished into a smile with a shake of his head. "Mmm well guess that will have to be fixed, won't it? Because I am here now and this cave looks awfully cozy. Hope you don't mind sharing." I knew he planned on staying as long as I didn't want him here. I shrugged and stared down at him. "Go right ahead, the cave is big enough." I watched as his grin twisted again when I mentioned the rabbit, I guessed he really liked that facial expression. "Well if you aren't hungry I'm sure I could manage to eat it." he says, but I know he doesn't take me seriously. It was a test, he was trying to call my bluff. So I stood and walked over to the dead animal, digging it out from the rocks before tossing it down to him. "All yours," I said, staring down with a glint of amusement to see what he'd do now.

I knew this would surprise him slightly, but I needed to shock him. And I knew just what to do. "You don't mind if I come down and join you? It'll only take a second," I said turning and heading off into the shadows. It took me a minute to climb down and walk back to where he was seated. I laid down, a good little distance away from him. I was taking a huge risk being down near him, but I was convinced he wasn't one of my brothers rogues. The way he reacted at my name gave it away. If he was a rogue, he'd have been almost salivating at the idea of killing me when he figure out it was. He played it off calmly and even made a sweet comment. Even though I was trying to keep secretive, it didn't mean I couldn't be nice. So that was what I was going to do.

But I don't want good and I don't want good enough, I want can't sleep, can't breathe without you love....
