Announcements as of July 28, 2021

I have called you, and you have answered my call --

Do not mistake my silence for weakness, my forest kin. For I am willing to defend you with my fangs and claws, until the days come when am no longer able to. Keep an eye on the borders for Zelda and her sister Midna, because I will welcome them back into the flock on the day of their return.

The flood has left our forest home in a sorry state of disarray. I shall not tolerate this. Summer is here and we must rebuild our dens in time for winter. There is a lot of hard and dirty work ahead of us. But we shall face it together, as family, as a pack. Let's get back to work and then we shall hunt. I hunger for a feast.

From your new Alpha --

Moonshade, the Gravekeeper of Moladion

MALE - THREE - NO LOVE - NO SOUL - DIVEEN

It had been some time since the opinion of others had mattered to Emry. Since he was but a small child who thought he had a name already made for himself, idolizing both his Mother and his Father as some of the most important wolves of Diveen, let alone Moladion. But that had all changed when his Mother had been killed, at the jaws of one unknown, and the boys entire world had been knocked off balance. His Father had gone off the deep end, consumed in his grief and misery in a fashion that he very much had inherited from his own Father, Emry's Grandfather- Devil May Cry. A wolf was bound to have madness running through their veins at the simple blood connections most of them carried. Even the perfect little angel children of Diveen held the blood of the mad wolf in their hearts. Emry's Grandfather wasn't mad all the time, just most of the time- particularly when he lost control of his emotions and the heat of the moment got the better of him. It wasn't to say he wasn't an intelligent wolf, just.. unstable. Immensely unstable. And Emry took more after him than he would have ever thought possible.

But it does not show on his face this day, no. He is content and he is smug in his interactions with the girl of no name, and with Solaris, and the girl so squeaky. But alas, there are more yet to show their faces. The next is a girl silent and dark, a demon in diguse, or so it would seem by the salty aroma she carries. A wolf of the sea, a wolf of Glorall no doubt- and one with harsh judging eyes when she finds Emry. Good. Let her cast her ban hammer and judge him for all he was worth, for the boy did not care in the slightest. Gone was ever any notion that he held importance or significance, as it had been killed off many years ago along with the death of his Mother. If any of the wolves to show their ugly mugs were to think that for even a moment their thoughts mattered to him, he would have barked his laughter right in their face. But be as it was, he had more important things to focus on, such as the small girl acting as the leader of this shindig, and acting like she could call the shots. Please. It's with a most exagerated eyeroll that Emry gives before falling into silence, his awaiting her words more than pointless.

For while it was expected of her to be polite to all her visitors, Emry figured he was the one exception. He seemed to just rub her all the wrong ways, and that was fine with him- so long as he got some rubbing in to begin with. The thought brings a signature smirk to his features, though when she blatantly turns from him, her words for Solaris only and so obviously pushing him out and away, there's a sudden flaring rage inside of his chest. He wants to approach her then, to make her acknowledge him, but just as he had done upon first arrival, she was only doing this to wind him up. She had to be. It was the only explanation for this perilous dance the both seemed intent upon. Not only that, but it was so painfuly obvious that Solaris was not the only brawn here. In fact, Emry and the angel boy were the same exact height, though the lighter boy seemed to have perhaps just a few pounds on him. Regardless, they would both be formidable forces when added to the hunting party- for this was truly the purpose of this gathering, as much as the girl seemed to have forgotten. And perhaps she had also forgotten their own first meeting and the kill she had taken from him- which he had so gracefully allowed her a portion of. But events are always so distracting, especially when they're social such as this 'slumber party' of theirs.

A sudden crashing sound from behind the small Taviora girl has the dark hairs upon Emry's shoulders bristling and his dark lip twitching ever so slightly- but the show of concern is quickly passed over when the fourm of a small, gangly puppy bursts forth, a whirl wind of pale creme and russet fur, one who could easily pass as an angel but was so obviously not. He lacked any grace, and his white wasn't white- it was more so a dirty version, one that would always be stained with.. well, mud and grass, or so it seemed. And then something that Emry has been waiting for, and although it is not the entire title- it will work just fine. In fact, the simple childlike nature of it has his dark, handsome lips broadening upon his square jaw, his amusement and delight simply ooozing out of his expression and body language. "Suzy. How fitting." And then because the boys enthusiasm knows no bounds, referring to Emry as being 'like the trees.' Glancing down at the boy, he's given an arched brow before subtle words are spoken. "I eat twigs for breakfast." The smirk is apparent in all his amusement, though it dims some when his molten gold gaze flecked with their crimson find Suzy again.

Still, she is intent on ignoring him, giving her attention to all others in greeting- all save for him. There's a scowl on his handsome features then. For while Emry didn't give a damn what anyone else thought of him, the simple fact of this little Suzy riling him up in general pissed him off. The fact such a simple gesture as ignoring him was able to cause such fury was.. unsettling, to say the least. But Emry is taking several deep breaths to calm himself, following after her example. His bright gaze, an inverted version of her own, is turning away and roaming elsewhere, to the two last newcomers it seemed they would welcome. The first is a girl who reeks of mountains, her judgemental stares considered for a moment before a haughty smirk is aimed toward her. Let her think what she will and judge him for all he is not, and it was then he gaze her a simple wink, seeking to flare up that opinion she's already fourming of him. Let her dislike him, and let her take that information back to the mountains. It hardly mattered, not truly. If she wanted to be a soft child her entire life, so be it, for it was truly no concern of his own. And then there is another male, one who smells of Diveen but looks nothing like an angel or anything else of the sort. Then again- Emry himself is dark black and silver. Nothing speaking of any bloodline about him.

He's silent and observant, this other, and he brings a hazy memory of a wolf from a long time ago to the large wolves mind. It would seem they had met before, though under different circumstances and it would seem that maybe even under another identity. But regardless, Emry is given to stare impassively, and when the words of Latina drift past his lips, the words so eloquently spoken, the dark boy is almost given to approach. Almost. But instead he remains silent, his main reason for being here being Suzy, of course, and not the latin speaking wolves who seem to be seeking someone out. Who they would be looking for, or wanting, he has no idea, but perhaps would find out. If he so wished it. But for now, he was content to simply watch the interactions of everyone around him, and how they got along with one another- assessing their weaknesses and strengths. For while he was here for Suzy, he was also here for the purpose of their hunt. It seemed that none really were so focused on this aspect, and perhaps it would mean that it would be a failure, but regardless perhaps a good learning experience. At least for some. For Emry, he knew, it was uneeded, as his skill surely far surpassed anyone currently present. Sure they could prove him wrong, but it was doubtful that they would be able to do so. He was, after all, close to perfection as they come.

THE FOREST RANKS

THE GRAVEKEEPER

The Alpha Male of Taviora. He will accept all challenges and block any steals. He has taken an oath to protect all within the forest, alive and dead.

THE KEEPER OF SECRETS

This will be Moonshade's chosen co-alpha. They will also be able to accept challanges and steals in order to defend Taviora.

THE KEEPER OF TRUTHS

This rank will belong to the chosen heir of Taviora. This wolf will probably share Moonshade's blood. This rank can be challenged for if you believe that you are a better candidate for the job.

THE FOREST COUNCIL

Although the Alpha's have the final say in all matters, Taviora is still a pack, we are still a community. These wolves are the most senior members of our ranks. Their role is to guide, serve and protect. All of them have earned their place here and they should be respected at all times. Every position on the council can be challanged for by a subordinate pack member. However the council has the right to block a pack member from gaining the position if they have concluded that the individual has placed their own selfish desires before the best interest of the pack as a whole.

THE TUSKS

The packs lead fighter. One of the strongest and bravest in our ranks. They will answer the call to protect the forest if either of the Alpha's are absent.

THE JAWS

The packs head of defence. They are our chief hunter and guardian to all within the forest borders. They know every inch of Taviora and every wolf within.

THE HORNS

The packs most senior teacher. They are responsible for teaching and guiding all of our young and new members so that they will reach their full potential.

THE EYES

The packs trusted informant. This wolf spends a lot of their time outside the forest borders, keeping their eyes, ears and nose peeled for news or potential trouble. Due to the secretive and dangerous nature of this rank, only a wolf that the pack can trust with their lives will obtain this responsibility.

THE DARKDWELLER

This is Taviora’s Head Healer. This wolf is responsible for treating the pack's wounds, injuries and illnesses. They are also expected to be one of the first on scene when a mother goes into labour. Along with their counterpart, The Soothsayer, they will train future healers for the service of our pack and our allies.

THE SOOTHSAYER

This is Taviora’s Head Counselor. Their knowledge of healing and herbal remedies are equal to that of their counterpart, The Darkdweller. This wolf specializes in helping us conquer the unseen demons in our heads and our hearts. They are also expected to help bring all children of the forest safely into this world.

NIGHTWATCHERS

Our trusted packmates that guard the borders while the rest of us sleep safely in our dens. If something is amiss within our lands, they should be the first to intercept any threat and call for back up when needed. Some might not call themselves soldiers, but they will spill blood if push comes to shove.

DAWNSTRIDERS

The most diligent and selfless of our pack. They are up at first light and leave our inner sanctum every few days in search of prey. They hunt far and wide in order to make sure none of us go hungry. While not out hunting, they are free to relax or assist the Nightwatchers, Daylightres or Dawnstriders with their tasks.

DAYLIGHTERS

This group will make up the bulk of our pack, they are our beloved family. They are generalists and commoners who are charged with looking after the most central and sacred parts of our home. Along with The Horns, they are expected to watch out for our children. We are happy to keep all within our ranks that love and respect the forest of Taviora.

DUSKWALKERS

Rumoured to be the most free spirited and independent members of our pack, they guard when no other eyes are available. They wander down all the winding dirt paths and have been known to explore into the freelands. They are envoys and ambassadors who assist The Eyes with their duty of keeping us all safe.

ANCIENT PINES

These wolves are older and have retired from active service. We thank them for all that they have done for our pack, however long or short their tenor was. They shall live out the rest of their years with the best food, shelter and company we can offer them.

THE BRIAR PATCH

This is the name for Taviora’s nursing mothers and their litters of puppies. Once they are born, at least one parent is expected to temporarily step down from their role in order to raise their pups for the first 6 months of their lives. An exemption can be made if another mother is willing to look after the young while the parents resume their service to the pack.

THE SAPLINGS

Too big for the briar patch but not yet old enough to be called a daylighter. These are all puppies between the age of 1 and 3. Pups can start their training from 2 and above if The Horns has found a suitable Mentor for them.

THE WELCOMED

These wolves are welcome within our borders anytime of the day or night. Blocking their access will be met with disapproval and possible punishment.

THE BANISHED

They are enemies of our pack and their presence will not be tolerated within or near our home. Those caught in contact with a wolf on this list will likely share the same fate.

THE SACRED TOMBS

Our brothers and sisters that have sadly left us for their next adventures. We give thanks for their lives and we send them on with all our love, hopes and dreams. Moonshade will accept the bones of any wolf that has ever called Taviora their home and will find them a special place within our hallowed grounds. Every burial mound is individual and sacred. Tampering or messing with one will not be tolerated. A crime against the dead will be treated as though it has been committed against a living pack member.

Remember, we are always watching from the shadows ...
