She is aware that he is near - if she had not known then she would have never called for him to seek her out. Despite his injuries and the fact that he had a family to comfort him at home, he made his way to the crags to meet her as she had requested. Perhaps that says a little more about Kane than she had ever known before.

A tight knot had woven its way into the pit of her stomach as she waited outside of her burrowed retreat, the opening veiled by the shadows that the leaning rocks created over it in the late moonlight. A part of her did not like this epiphany that she had come across, the devils in her mind were confused and angry about her decision even more so as time passed and the large, limping figure of her half-brother was seen ascending just below her. A placidity is washed over her glacial eyes though her mind is thrown into the fury of her demons. They know that it is he who has left her body mangled and hurting like this and crave for the chance to lash out against him while he is downhill and weakened. They have always been the driving force in her skull and yet she will not let them win out this time, she will battle them as she had with Kane so that she may achieve what it is that she desires. They will torture her constantly - but she will endure for the sake of her goal.. She will endure.

His physical reaction to seeing her again triggers her to respond immediately as he approaches, even before he has the opportunity to speak. “Do not pity me. I may have had a change in heart toward you, Kane, but I still do not care for your compassion.” She paused for a moment as she shifted her stance to greet him, grumbling after he had settled himself before her. “At least don’t smother me with it..” Her eyes showed disproval of the way that his looks always made her feel; as if she were some weak creature that needed such things. She was an untamed woman who was capable of taking care of herself and did not need the graciousness and love of others to survive this life. But Kane would always see her as the poor little girl she had once been, the one scorned by Devil May Cry who had set off on her own despite her instability and inexperience. She had taken the dangerous leap that none of her other siblings had and she held fast to the life she had made of it; whether it was cloaked not in glory but in bloodshed. Stella cannot change the way her mind operates, but she can attempt to make amends with one she has denied all of these years, if only he will accept that she will not become the model canine that many of his family have wished her to be.

Upon his approach, her eyes immediately target his limp and the injuries that he still carries upon his body, her instinct driving her to detect the weakness in him before she allows herself to speak to him again. “What defines ‘better terms’ is entirely up to your judgment, brother. I’m not so sure you will want to hear what I have to say..” She forewarns him with a wary glance as she tilts her head, angling it so that she may see the commotion that is taking place just beyond the rocks behind her before turning her attention back to him, moving closer so that they may converse in closer quarters. “I intend to propose that I -” She winces in the midst of her movement - though she attempts to hide it as best as she can - before stopping at a trustful distance between the two, close enough to speak softly so that he may hear. “- that I join with you among the ranks in.. your home.” Speaking the name of his home was asking a bit too much from her at this moment, the word of which left a bad taste in her mouth after the monarchy of ‘angels’ has tainted it so. Perhaps they were all not so terrible, despicable things, but the mere idea of being above another simply because of a so-called bloodline was simply nonsensical. It was not only the angels she felt this way about but the demons as well. Molding their entire generation and those to come on beliefs that they were some supernatural beings placed so highly above all others. The thought nearly made her cringe in distaste.

“I will not take a rank so lowly, though, mind you. I am either at your side or the offer is retracted.” There was a chance that she was asking a bit much after nearly maiming him only a day before, but she would not take such a great risk for a rank unworthy of her holding. She would do well to become a keeper of the pack, her ability and sheer size making her applicable for such a rank, though she knows not what fancy name they have given the title. She was laying herself on the line; her pride in trade for humility and acceptance. But she would not lay it aside for long, if she should be bestowed such a title by her kindly sibling.
