At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Ash ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Taking a deep breath I crossed over the safety of Saw Tooth's borders. This was the first time I'd every left my home. Well, besides the den I resided in when we lived at the mating dens. Even then though, I never traveled far from home. I usually hated the thought, but today everyone seemed too close. I also didn't want to be in the den that reminded me of my walk out parental unit. In truth I was feeling claustrophobic in a big area. When had Saw Tooth become my unbearable prison? My head stayed in its usually position, low and magnetic to the earth. I was a little more on edge than I usually was today, but then again when wasn't I? Don't get me wrong I loved every single one of my siblings and my hard working mother, but adult hood was nearing. It was time I left and explored, I was ready for it. Hesitantly I put one paw in front of the other. Not having any clue where I was headed. At this point I didn't care and then I went to a trot. Letting my mind go blank and my ebony stilts took me where they pleased. After an hour or so I apparently reached my destination. The sweet smell of a lake crawled up my nares and I couldn't help, but walk towards the body of water. I walked so close that a wave caressed my front paws; causing me to jump from being startled. After this action of surprise I welcomed the waves as they tried to pull me in. A light smile crossed paths with my face, this place wasn't so bad. With a sigh I laid on the muddy bank of the lake and had my eyes contently watching the waves dance.
