News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

It is with slight ill content that the glorious man of beautiful gold and copper is given to climb the mountainside once more, yet again seeking the presence of a new Alpha, after all, it would seem the curse of his bloodline continues. With his family dead, gone or murdered the man is quite assured that his near ridiculous poor luck has turned it’s rage upon Alphas, one after the other seeking to be destroyed the moment his paws rest upon the land. Since his brother’s death in Glorall, the male had served near five other Alphas, each of them dying or failing one after the other. His paws had barely rested a month within Spirane before the same was given to befall the pack. Truthfully, were Pan a gambling fellow he may well have been content to challenge himself to a game of sorts, to see how long it took this newest of Alphas to fall in the wake of the misfortune the boy brings. As it is however, he is a male of supreme logic and indeed refuses to allow such thoughts to invade his mind. Luck, he believes, is not a physical thing, but a series of events based upon the choices of an individual with ability to interact with future events and result in an outcome. His previous Alphas, it would seem, have all chosen poorly and yet his mind also finds fascination in this. What choices does Isola of Diveen make that assure a leadership so long, where did Moonglow go wrong, why did Weylin die? Such things irritate his mind with continued thoughts as he moves towards the den of Spiranes newest Alpha, content to offer his services once more and yet with each change in leadership the boy becomes only more…..cynical, perhaps.

In truth he is good of temperament and nature, an open minded, well balanced male and yet he is so very tired of change time and time again, tired of being wasted, of being cast into one useless rank after another. He was a prodigy and nothing less, his brilliant mind so often overlooked for his short yet shockingly powerful form, told to be a warrior or a scout or a hunter and indeed such is the nature of his grasp upon the logic of science that he is given to achieve in near every area, even the healing arts- yet it is not his desire. Pan simply needs to be….needed. He thrives upon work, upon politics, upon having a job to do. It has been some years since he has sought a pack, those previous months before Niviaq afflicted him with a disease spent learning of packs and Alphas and loners and all such entertaining things. The loos of Moonglow however, is perhaps one to many, the boy dissuaded in his desires and yet still he climbs before coming to rest outside Purge’s den, strange black eyes peering into the darkness, assured the female is within as the gleaming golden boy simply seats himself- waiting.

Yet his patience for this is short lived, tardiness is by no means acceptable. If Purge wishes to be an Alpha then he will help her- if she is willing to see him for what he is and not cast him aside into some useless rank of no meaning to wallow away his existence and waste the extreme gift of his intellect. He likes to help, he likes to be needed, he likes to have job for it allows his mind a focal point to work upon, one that has for far too long been left by the wayside.

“Alphess, if you continue to dawdle you will find yourself made a mockery off and such are the implications of laziness sure to follow, should anyone be content to think of you as lazy it will soon spread to loners and eventually to other packs and indeed your reign shall be short lived and your empire as unstable as those before it. You are thirty six seconds late.”

She can hear him he is sure and indeed while entirely capable of being polite, of being nothing short of ridiculously charming the male is also assured in himself, honest, if nothing else and indeed, while perhaps an exaggeration the male knows of great Kings and Queens, has served more then one and as such is content to offer his first lesson- not to be late, the unforntate Purge thirty six seconds to slow to exit her den, the boy allowing his ears to lace back in a momentary submission all the same as she emerges.

“You wanted a word? I am Pan, son of Indus and Wild Justice. I do believe I was summoned upon the desire you wish to hear my ideas for increased productivity? I recommend you sit, the mind works better when one is given to sit, also, given the state of your tail I recommend if you are attempting to display dominance to lift you head higher to the point where your lack of tail cannot be seen, it will make up for an otherwise mediocre attempt at superiority, arch your neck a little to, it offers an illusion of masculinity. Where were we, oh yes, the ideas. I have several, would you rather discuss recruitment or potential alliances or perhaps those hypothetical scenarios?”

He never was entirely good at short sentences, his wordy oration a sign of the sharpness and speed with which his mind works, the black-eyed male content to offer his knowledge in both areas of recruitment and politics while also content to assist her with the loss of her tail, after all, a tail is critical in non-verbal communication and indeed he is assured his methods will prevent her from being laughed at by other Alphas. Whether or not Purge will see the advice for what it truly ease, or merely perceive it as an attack upon herself cannot be said and yet, truthfully, there is sense to all he says, if only she will listen as so many have not. He is determined, this time, to have the ranking he both desires and deserves.
