News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

This place, Moladion it was called, was very strange. It was nothing like the tundra from where I have come. The customs of these wolves were different. I had lived with the sister hood and under the mother's guidance for so long, living for myself was foreign. I was learning their ways slowly, but I was no young wolf. One thing I had learned, was that my skills were in little demand. Assassin's weren't as called upon here. It was the only thing I knew how to do, and so I felt so....useless here. It was certainly a new feeling, one I did not like. Feeling useless was weakness, something that I loathed in most circumstances. Pregnancy, youth, age, and sickness were the only instances of weakness I found acceptable. But this was not one of those cases. And so I searched for some place to feel worthy of the title I once held; the title of Assassin.

I was far bigger than most females of this land. In truth, all of the sister hood were, even then I was the smallest. We had to be bigger, for we competed with death itself each day. The wolves of Moladion would never know the rage of a bear of the snow or that of a blizzard. Everything on the tundra would kill the second you let any form of weakness show, and even then, they'd try regardless of if you showed weakness or not. Moladion's bears were of dirt and darkness, far smaller than the bears of snow. Even their seasons of cold were weaker. Few, if any, wolves would survive on the tundra. Especially those that did not share a cloak of white like me. Only in the season of summer would they be able to hide their pelts, when the snow would melt to give birth to new life. But when the land was blanketed in white, they would have no where to hide.

I had decided I would try my luck in one of the packs. I had scouted them out, all of them. Diveen was of a blood line known as the angels, they seemed a fit place to be but I was not satisfied with their egos. Iromar was the enemy blood line of the angels: the demons. They were also a fit place to be, but they had a blood thirst even I found distasteful. Glorall and Taviora were quiet and looked like they had no use for my skills. Then I had come to Spirane. It was mysterious here, as I trotted the border. When I had first scouted, there was an older queen that ruled these lands along with her king. But now, there was a new scent that claimed this land. A change in power I was certain. But there was also something else, something that made my stomach twist into knots: The smell of death. But not the smell I was accustomed to with my role, this was a sad death, one of an innocent. But there wasn't just the one scent, it came in a pair. I did not know these wolves, but still I would mourn them. Innocent lives were always to be mourned.

I almost turned and left, but I pushed my feelings back as I did whenever I was sent to kill someone. I stood at the border, careful not to cross the invisible line. I lifted my muzzle high and allowed my song to grace the mountain. It called for the new queen, or anyone that would have the time to come meet me. I allowed it to trail off slowly to a whisper and then vanish completely. My icy blue eyes scanned the areas, looking up to the mountain peak. This place would make a fine home, hopefully they would find room for an assassin like me.

Death surrounds, my heartbeat's slowing down. I won't take this world's abuse. I won't give up, I refuse. This how it feels when you're bent and broken. This is how it feels when your dignity's stolen. When everything you love is leaving, you hold on to what you believe in....
