Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Arbitus was focused on the watery landscape, that seemed to begin to envelop the sun, as it had the dirt. The wind, never stopping, pushed many of the trees in the way of the sun, making it harder to Arbitus to enjoy the sunset, as they were one of the few pleasures that Arbitus had left.

Arbitus' concentration on the muddy horizon slowly began to fade, as he started to loose consciousness. The beast of exhaustion had begun to tie its noose around Arbitus, the sleep deprivation preventing him from struggling, instead making him accept the slow drift out of consciousness. His eyes did not slowly droop, but rather his eyes stopped focusing on anything, and he just laid there, half-conscious but half-asleep.

This state of limbo was snapped when the sound of someone navigating the terrain made Arbitus realize that he was awake. The first thought that came to his mind was the terror in knowing that they had finally caught up to him.

Arbitus' legs suddenly started working, and he shot upwards, facing the intruder. Next, his nose started to work, and the scent of the wolf, he realized, was nothing like the wolves that he was so afraid of. He then relaxed, and he again realized that he was very, very, tired, and very much in pain. Muttering something under his breath, Arbitus sat down, so that his head would still be able to face this wolf.

The comments of the foreign wolf sounded very informal, almost as if these two knew each other. Informal speaking was not very common in Arbitus' life, as the packs he lived in had always been distant, and all about business.

You could say that. Arbitus replied, his voice hard to hear against the unrelenting wind. He did not say anything else. He did not need to say anything else. If Arbitus knew something, it was how to be to the point. Speaking was not something he cared for and it never was.

He took the moment to study the other wolf. He was very large, larger than Arbitus, but did not seem threatening. The other wolf seemed almost like he had stripped himself of his natural strength, which of course he had by being so large. Perhaps something had happened, but it wasn't for Arbitus to ask, not that he cared enough to ask. He had bigger things that he had to worry about. Things that mattered. Things that affected him.
