Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

twelve - no heart - no soul - Spirane

this is her in blackouts

It had only been a few days since her fall in the Grotto. Lillith had done a good job tearing at her shoulder and leaving a bloody gouge behind. The skin had ripped away from her flesh and was reattaching itself slowly. The wound had been packed with herbs to prevent infection as the way the skin ripped would certainly fester if not kept clean and she had attempted to clean the blood off her alabaster fur. Along with the gouge she was left with bruised ribs and a head that often ached - a small gash was healing in between her eyebrow and right ear. In the days since her accident or attack since it was a mixture of both, she had been besieged with bouts of dizziness and a shrill ringing in her ears. That first day that Ailith had drug her body from it's spot and helped her Natu had thought she might not make it, that the fall had done something internally to her that couldn't be repaired. She almost wished it so great was her need to rejoin the family she had lost so long ago. The other world beckoned her in her state of unconsciousness. It was such a bitter disappointment to wake and find herself hurting even worse from her heartache than from her wounds.

So she had moped and healed and survived. That is one thing Natu has done well in her time on this earth. Surviving. Such a simple yet ultimate task. She had been alone for so long but she was part of Spirane now, albeit a bit absent as of late for her feet beckoned her to wander. It was a part of her spirit that she could not forsake. On this day as she laid beneath the warm sun the ringing once more began in her head, unrelenting and painful. She closed her ice blue eyes and flattened her ears and tried to tune it out...

Natu opens her eyes. The forest - that is where she would travel. The need was so great that she did not feel the pain in her body as she loped out of Spirane. Her ribs screamed in protest but her instinct drove her into the woodlands. The scent of pine surrounded her and her spirit rejoiced in it. She had not caught her own prey in days, instead she had picked from the stores that Spirane kept full, but the need to eat something fresh, to taste the warm blood upon her tongue, it was too great to ignore. So she stalks through the woodland guided by the natural instinct that is primordial to all wolves.

There! Droppings dot the earth and she peers closer knowing that it comes from a deer. Game much too large for her but she wonders if it brings a young one with it - a fawn would taste so tender and sweet. Yet something stalls the white wolf. A scent just as sweet and more rewarding. A pup. The maternal instinct that has lain dormant since the death of her own children flares once more and she heads towards the source, her heart thumping erratically. The gray, black, and white puppy is beautiful to her eyes. Precious. Divine. A gift.

She needs him. And so Natu will have him. She is stout with a healthy visage but if the pup looks upon her he will see the fresh wounds upon her body and the unrelenting ice of her eyes, her need to mother him great. Natu smiles upon him, stepping towards the small wolf, not saying anything, but reaching out slowly to sniff him with ears pricked and sighing into his face...
