Oh such grace! Oh such beauty!
And lipstick, and callous
and fishnets and malice
Honestly, Harridan did not expect him to actually turn tail. Most ignored her request of a rabbit. Or they rolled their eyes and did not take her seriously. They clearly did not understand how much the sterling creature adored the taste of rabbit. The others could have their fill of deer, of gator, of fish. Give Harridan unlimited rabbits, and you would find her fat and content. Still she watched him as he considered her and then turned tail and left. She tilted her had just slightly as she watched him disappear into the brush. She was slightly amused by his reaction but she did not move from her comfortable spot next to the river. Instead she lowered her head, readjusted her position and watched the river flow by quietly. It was a rare moment that she got time by herself, and within a few moments she drifted off to sleep bathed in sunlight. She didn't expect the silver tongued stranger to walk back into her life.
But there was a shuffle of feet through the grass that brought her back from her dreamless slumber. Ears fixate before the red amber eyes opened slowly. Pupils constrict from the light, her head tucking itself into her paws in efforts to stave off the idea of waking up. Harridan's nose those smells the delicious little drops of blood belonging to one species that would wake her from the dead. Rabbit. Her head shot up and pointed in the direction, though her eyes do not open immediately. Instead nostrils flare and suck in as much of that delicious, delicious scent as they could possibly take in. Finally she opened her eyes, blinking as she adjusted to the sun's rays.
Ah, her silver tongued suitor had returned with gifts! She watches as he dumps the carcass on her legs and she looks up at him with those amber eyes. "No kisses sweetheart. But half the spoils and three questions. Choose carefully, blue eyes." She took the hind end of the rabbit and offered him the head half. She liked have liver thus she picked what she wanted. She may be sharing, but no one ever accused Harridan of being selfless.
