She wondered if they were with Faol'an now, and all of her children whom the sea had swallowed whole. She was positive those she loved would surely all find each other beyond the confines of mortality... they had to, right? Faol'an had said they all became stars one day, and now, she had spent her nights trying to find the new shining face above them all. Perhaps she had felt wrong in some sense, being able to recover so quickly from the fall but it just seemed... right. The two of them had never seemed like a pair to give up and so, to honor them, she had decided to be like them in that way. Parts of her still wept over the absence she felt but nonetheless, there were more important things to tend to: namely, her children and their legacy. Purge might have been Queen of the mountain but Niviaq firmly believed she would have no issue with the others living by the same code of kindness that Moonglow and Alcide had. Surely?

For the most part, she had returned to her den, venturing out to the bodies every so often to chase scavengers away and to speak quietly to whomever might have been watching, be it her love or her fallen Alphas. She had hoped to find Pan there, hoping that he might have some terribly logical thing to say that might somehow patch the hole within her. Instead, she came across Purge's very form and others gathered around as the woman spoke. Slowly, Niviaq had been inclined to nod, bowing her head low in silence as she considered the Queen's words. Of course she had not meant to kill - why would one do such a thing? Sadly, part of life were accidents and sometimes, those accidents caused damage beyond belief. Niviaq knew that all too well and thus, she had no reason to question the Queen's words. Instead, she was sobered by them.

There was one wolf she did not know, whom spoke over the bodies in a language she connected automatically to the Angels of Diveen. For a moment, she was inclined to remain silent as the woman spoke but slowly, she came forward to the bodies once more, finding solace in the peaceful appearance that had overcome them. She turned then to Purge, a weak smile over her muzzle before she spoke, her voice quiet.

"I thank you, Purge, for allowing us these moments. Know that my heart harbors no hate for you or your actions - this is the world, filled with accidents most dire. Again, I thank you."

She bowed her head for a moment, and then she began the daunting task of ensuring each wound that littered Moonglow's body was as clean as possible. It was a despicable taste, the bite of death lingering in the black blood but that was death - bitter, dark, never was it meant to be an easy task.
