There was so much swimming under that white mass of fur and violet eyes that the alpha was not letting on. It was kinda a normal thing with males though, we were all hiding something. Some better than others, some more interesting than others. It wasn't my right to know what was going on under that polite smile, but that didn't mean I wouldn't try to figure it out regardless. Hell, if there was a secret, you could be sure i'd be there sticking my nose in to figure it out. Knowledge was power after all, and one could never have too much power.
Finally I pried a smirk from the alpha's lips. There you go big boy, I knew you could do it. "If that is the case, then perhaps you ought to learn to cover your tracks better." the alpha said. Well i'll be damned! This guy had some humor up his sleeve. I chuckled in amusement at his words. "Maybe so, but I don't particularly have anyone to cover them from," I said, my words nothing but the truth. The only wolf that would spare their time to search for me would be my brother. Honestly, I wanted that Asshole to find me. Maybe I could finally talk some sense into his dense head.I was ashamed to be related to such a gullible wolf. I had taken the liberty and killed some of the wolves that had betrayed us, then I was somehow the bad guy? Let him believe what he wanted to, i'd always know the truth.
The male before me rose and tilted his head, an arched eyebrow sent my way. I had his interest, good."Do not worry. I protect these lands and the lives within it quite well myself. However, one can never have too many... sentries, I suppose." he said with a challenging grin. While it was true an alpha had to be strong enough to protect his pack, what would happen if another pack attacked and he was heavily out numbered? When he said sentry, I let my displeasure with that choice be known with a frown and an arched brow that read 'seriously?'. The fire in my eyes raged, craving more than what he was offering. I watched as he shook out his pelt and stretched his legs, meeting my gaze but lowering his head in a protective way. Then the puzzle pieces fell into place and I let a grin slide across my maw.
"I am Tesseract, and I insist you follow this order: prove to me that you can fight." My chest rumbled with excitement as I stood, readying my muscles to do exactly as he had ordered. "Well of course. I wouldn't let you ask any less of me," I said.
My dearest Tesseract, these are my rules for our spar:
No time limit, take as long as you'd like
This is just a spar, so any damage will be negated. I want nothing less than for you to go all out, I will do the same.
Post order:
Vadik attack
Tess defend/attack
Vadik defend/attack
Tess defend/attack
Vadik defend
I think this will be amble proof as to why I deserve better than mere sentry.
