The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

So much excitement over the past few days. Cade had come back from her usual hiding place within the bowels of Andere to see to a promising female who had sauntered up to the border. The ivory and crimson queen found Thalian to be much like herself, despite the outward distaste the newest member of her pack showed towards others of the opposite gender. Personally, Cade couldn't live without the men and boys in her life. The saucy lady had finally begun to forgive Eric for his choice to fall victim to Seline's wiles. While she understood that her mother was hardly easy to walk away from, she had thought better of the vampire. No matter now. He had suffered quite enough for that little triste, what with Cade slamming his hip back into its socket. That had been a delectable gift for Cade's aching heart considering the fact that she could hardly ever touch him, let alone cause him pain. He was just so damn...alluring and yet so horribly frustrating at the same time. Mixed signals. Yes, that was it.

The youthful lass had left Eric and Thalian to figure out their eating arrangements. Cade could be quite devious when it suited her. After all, she tasked the female with feeding Eric, whether by offering herself or finding him something to gorge on. They all did things they didn't want to. Thalian would have to learn such a lesson or find herself swallowed whole by the inhabitants of this land. Andere was by no means an innocent place to lay down roots. Inwardly laughing to herself, Cade paced along the border, occasionally marking her progress to reaffirm her scent. It was never a good idea to let outsiders think that her lands were empty and ripe for the taking, even if they did appear that way all too often.

As she tread along the border, something rather interesting caught her attention. Of course, Cade found any boy to be interesting, especially those under her rule. The only difference between herself and her mother was that Cade didn't whore herself out to any and all who came calling. Rather she felt the need to make an informed decision on who was worthy of her body. There were several contenders within her ranks, but she had yet to decide on one. Eric was always on the list of course, but she was still vaguely pissed off with him. Forgiven, yes, but not forgotten. Then there was awkward little NeMO. Younger than her, fearful, and yet a curiosity to the Queen's constantly churning mind. And who could forget Skrillex? She hadn't seen him since that fateful day when his blood covered self crossed her borders and the lady claimed him as her own minion rather than tear him limb from limb for trespassing. Something in his haunted expression had spoken to her as well. So many choices. And upon her walk, they were miraculously before her, though she found their personalities to be reversed with her first scanning of the scene. A gory NeMO and a mentally broken Skrilly. How ironic.

NeMO stood between Cade and Skrilly with the blankest of looks on his facade. He appeared to be calculating, attempting to come to some conclusion. The introverted look of thought that sometimes crossed Cade's face was all too familiar to the queen. She had seen it play on Eric's before as well and approached NeMO with an air of caution to go with her raised tail and alert ears. Her mismatched gaze raked along his features before she pulled up beside him and decided to break the silence.

"Skrillex, how charming of you to come out of hiding. And NeMO, to what do I owe this pleasurable run in?"

Cade doubted that Skrillex had any idea just how close he'd become to adding stain on NeMO's coat. Something about the young brute she'd had to chastise for being so pitiful had changed. And once more, just like the inner puppy that still thrived in Cade somewhere, her curiosity had been piqued.
