Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The trees had all shed their leaves and a thin, white blanket of snow covered the ground. It felt light and familiar underpaw as the white and grey wolf walked beneath the trees, the sun shooting down tendrils of light through the leaves. Nord felt at home in the snow, it reminded him of life in his old pack up on the mountain. It made him feel closer to the mountain spirits that his pack had turned to for guidance, the spirits that Nord had turned away from for the longest of times. But he felt like they still watched over him even know, weeks travel away from home. Maybe his parents were up there watching, too. The snow crunched under his grey paws as the young male continued his trek through the forest, pausing every so often to admire the scenery surrounding him.

He had never yet been to this part of Moladion, preferring instead to lurk around the crags for the most part. He didn't know why he had made a home for himself among what most would consider a very unforgiving place, but he liked it there. It felt like home, all the rocks and precarious perches. However, many thoughts of home were being overtaken by thoughts of this place he now called home. And Nord couldn't say that he didn't like it that way... After all, he knew that he could never go back to his old home, it just didn't exist anymore. And his mentor... he was probably passed on of old age. Though the old wolf had taken care of him, he had given him his fearful and anti-social nature. Though Nord was a lot more comfortable talking to others now, old habits died hard, and he often found himself doubting his social skills.

Nord found himself loving these lands more and more as the days passed, though. He had even made a couple of friends in his time here. He knew that there were packs but he wasn't quite sure if he was ready for that yet-- and he wasn't quite sure that he offered anything special to a pack anyway.

The lanky wolf was quite content with remaining a loner for now, though. It meant he got to explore the free lands as much as possible after all, and that was something he enjoyed.
