Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Another year and another winter; Shiloh had to admit that snow could be fun but it was also a nuisance. With her matte black figure it was difficult to sneak and she had been training so hard to become good at stealth! Not only did winter end her training but her bird friends, whom she was often trying to sneak up on, had vanished for the winter. The months would drag by long and slow without something to keep her occupied. Of course there was always the task her mother had given to her about recruiting some wolves. Hell one wolf would be more than enough but she hadn't had much luck despite all her exhaustive efforts. So she had decided to lay low in Diveen for a while while the loners tended their business in the freelands. Eventually she would venture out in a newly invigorated attempt - just when they got tired, hungry, and cold. That would make anyone want to come to the safety of a pack or so she assumed.

The sand around the lake bed was no longer soft and pliable. Winter made it tough and packed, almost dirt-like. It did not feel soothing upon her paws as she walked the edge while her royal blue eyes peered into the murky water beneath a thin sheen of ice. A flicker of a shadow beneath it had her tensing, an automatic response to catch prey, but it was gone before she could draw a breath. Growling low she turns away from the lake. She is annoyed at having so little to do in this winter season. The only friends she had were not really around. Her mind was a constant mish-mash of strategy and desires but with nothing to focus her attention she drove herself slowly insane.

As she turns away from the lake she spies the dark figure ambling towards Diveen and her ears prick; she lifts her gold-plaited muzzle and sniffs the air. He is clearly not a foreigner but one of their own. Well if she couldn't bring someone back to Diveen the least she could do was make her rounds and meet those within the territory - maybe Isola would give her more credit for trying anyways. Lifting her tail to curl atop her back she lunges forward into a long lope with thin sheets of snow spraying around her.

The one good thing about snow is that it is soft upon her deformed from paw and she does not worry so much about stepping on something wrong - but only when the snow is deep enough. Shiloh yips to catch Orion's attention and makes a very ungraceful stop only a few feet from him. It is so quick her body sways forward but she levels out with one front paw shooting forward to prevent her from falling headfirst into the ground. "Hello Diveen-i-an," she says, breathless. As her brain catches up with her words Shiloh's eyebrows dip down and ears fall back to convey her embarrassment at her childish words but she is quick to cover her gaffe and smooth her expression. "I haven't met you yet. I'm Shiloh!"
