Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The sun had only just touched the horizon, framed by a sea of blood. It was not a gentle sunrise, toned in shades of pink, but a bloody one. Dawn painted the sky in riotous shades of red and gold. It was undeniably beautiful, in a savage sort of way, just as battle had a primal appeal. As Triskelion watched, the lands below seemed to catch fire as dawn’s first light touched them.

The pale pelted male had made the long trek from Spring Grounds to the cliffs in the early hours of the morning. As much as the last few days had been unexpectedly wonderful, he needed some time to clear his head. Everything had happened so quickly – one moment he was a loner, the next Iota of a pack.

He’d spent almost his entire life wandering. With nothing but his own whims to guide him, he’d travelled far and wide. He seen untold beauty, experienced biting hunger, risked death; he wouldn’t change that for the world. However, you can only wander for so long before weariness seeps into your bones. Though he could not pinpoint the exact moment he’d felt a desire to end his wanderings, but by the time he’d reached this land it had been a near constant weight upon his shoulders.

And now, finally, it had lifted. First the first time in many a year, he had somewhere to call home.

Kel yawned, stretching out of the ledge he’d claimed. In the dawning light, his normally pale pelt burned red. At this hour the various ledges lined the cliff face were empty; he had no doubt it would be some time before he saw any other wolves. Breathing in the crisp morning air, the male stared up at bloody sky wistfully. Though he had come here for solitude, he felt himself yearning for company. A sunrise was better watched with company.

Not, he thought to himself, that he was in the habit of watching sunrise with company. He’d long accepted that he was far from ideal mate material; too restrained to be charming, too battered to be truly handsome. He oft cursed the youthful folly that had earned him his scar-marred face. No, Triskelion had resigned himself to a life that would be lived alone.

He only wished that he didn’t feel so bitter about it.
