Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Gods may bleed among mortals...

Dead memories of a Legend
Chapter I The life of Voltaire

She seemed to simply ignore me at all costs. Surely I wouldn’t harm her, not unless she attacked first. While fun to attack other wolf for no reason, it is a waste of time to simply do it. This girl doesn’t deserve to be attacked. I try to make sense of what I am and what I do, not always successful, but still, I’m trying and it is something at least respectable, right? Take that, gods.

I approached the wolf girl and came to a halt, she was raising to her paws to simply leave. My words caught her attention and she simply replied, cold and direct. She told me that it was not meant to impress. She revealed to me that she had already faced other wolf and that was something to impress, to fight someone capable of facing us, ‘supreme predators’ as she calls us, was something to be impressed for the victory. Little does she know, but well, no need to tell her. Her last phrase could almost send a chill up my spine as she spoke ‘I don’t need to’. Oh, what a wolf! She has got power, such confidence. It is so… Despising, yet challenging. It was hard, but I managed to hold back that chill and just keep talking to her normally.

- Was it not!?

The question was simple and sarcastic.

- If you say so… Such minuscule creature was not enough to satisfy your hunger, I believe…

I commented, before offering with a small smile.

- What do you say to a purpose of a small alliance between us. We both would be able to get something bigger than a squirrel or a hare. Perhaps bigger, in size, than ourselves…

This alliance would be great for both of us, of course it wasn’t forever, we would catch our hunt and just go our own ways. We both would have food for longer and be satisfied for longer. Plus we would have some fun chasing another more challenging prey.
