Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The world was such a big place. The sound of the sea seemed to amplify within the den and it made her wriggling body ache to dart out and play in the surf but mom and dad were hanging around somewhere. With their watchful eyes it wouldn't be the best time to wander off too far. That didn't mean she couldn't explore AROUND the den. If they wandered away for some mommy/daddy date then she'd be in the clear to race out to the surf and try to catch any fish that might hazard to swim too close to the shore. Not that her little fangs could really render a fish useless, it would most likely just jerk her head side to side in it's attempt to flee.

Levi was off doing whatever it was he did. He was always trying to be so impressive to make up for the fact that he was a runt. Whatever. He was just a sissy boy in her opinion. Calling him that would no doubt incite his fury and that thought made her little mouth grin and her grey-green eyes twinkle in a vicious kind of glee. She loved to torment her brother. It was so easy for her to come up with mean little jibs and he was smart enough not to run and tattle. Besides, she could be sweet to her mother and father - how could they EVER think her capable of such mean spirited things? Another grin here.

She has been padding around outside of the den for a few minutes when she, slyly, looks around to note that both her parents are conspicuously absent. With a puppy smile, tongue hanging out, she darts to the ocean. Her small body is filled with so much energy that she oversteps, falls, and tumbles forward into a roll but just as quick she is back on her feet and launching herself into a run once more. Straight into the swishing tide.

The water rolls about her small paws and slams into her chest to knock her over with a yelp followed by a giggling as she stands once more and shakes herself out. Then she begins trotting down the beachline staring into the water as it inches forward and then back, stopping occasionally to paw at some new object left behind from the sea.
