Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The night was almost ending as the pale glow of the sun shone on the eastern horizon. It would still be many hours before the orb would show itself to the world which meant Iblis had been awake for almost 24 hours. He felt tired and drained and was only able to stand on his paws by sheet will. It didn't take long for the white form of Tesseract to appear over the sandy dunes with a small, smug smile on his face. The two locked eyes for a moment before the smaller male pulled his away so as not to upset the alpha. Iblis had pride, but even he knew there was a time and place for everything. Right now, he needed the protection of a pack and he was too far away from Diveen or Taviora.

Tesseract spoke, calling Iblis a stranger though they both knew he was anything but. Iblis took a moment to gather his thoughts, picking his words carefully, and replied in a weak voice. "I am called Iblis. I am just a loner in need of some help. I do not mean to threaten or harm you pack." Another bit if silence stretched out between them as Tesseract considered his words. He spoke again, a hint of cunning in his voice, as he mentioned Iblis would have to endure more pain. At this, the male looked up for a brief moment to see what the alpha's eyes would tell him. Did he find some sort of sick joy in making the lone warrior prove something before he would be let into the pack lands?

What other choice did he have? Iblis looked at the sea and felt a shudder race down his spine, causing him to wince in discomfort. "I have endured much pain in my life, Alpha. I do not fear it and if you wish for me to clean my wounds before entering you pack, so be it." Iblis waited to see if that was, indeed, Tesseract's challenge. All the while, he never thought once about the danger he could be in. Being a loner meant he did not have the protection of a pack. Sure, being allied with Diveen and Taviora meant he could go to them for help, but that did not mean they were entitled to save him should Glorall choose to hold him captive. Once inside the pack, Iblis would be at their mercy. No one would save him. But it was a chance he was going to have to take. Death would not come for him if he continued to fight.
