Please Don't Leave Me

Silent people have the loudest minds.

When I had started heading toward Gandy and her foal she called out in greeting, a smile caressed my lips as she gave a warm welcome. A laugh caught in my throat was given when her colt looked at me with unsure curiousity. He did manage to find his legs and stood up, his legs taking over most of his body. The comment about him being a little lady magnet seemed to abide well with him, since a sound of approval squeaked through his lips. Lifting my eyes from the foal I turned to focus on Gandy who had laughed, guessing it was at them.

'Not too soon I hope.' Nodding my head I flicked my ears sideways as Gandy eyed me. She was a little worried and it was apparent, but she didn't voice it. Her eyes gave it away, it was more noticeable since she kept looking, but the eyes were a window into someone all there own. Gandy then lowered her head to address her son and speaks gently. 'Jouka, come and meet your aunt Azazel." Flicking my ears forward I felt a rush of heat spread through me.

If I wasn't covered in black, then I'm sure a blush would've been seen. Before lifting her head back up she nudged his hind and introduced him with pride. 'Azazel, meet Joukahainen. My, what a mouthful. I thought with a smile. Flipping my lock from my eye I noticed the blue eyed boy reach out his muzzle and a soft look beemed in my eyes. Reaching out to exchange breaths with the boy I spoke softly. Welcome to the world, even if it's a little late for me saying it. I needed to apologize to Gandy and I needed to do it now. Hesitantly I lifted my head to its full height, which felt like a boulder on my shoulders, since its been low lately.

Gandy, thank you and I'm sorry. For many things on both ends. Thank you for becoming my first friend since...ever really. Also I'm sorry for walking off and not being around lately. I've just been... My words stopped there and I couldn't find them anymore. The words that were there erased in my head or got stuck in my throat. All I could do at that point was give her a nudge to the shoulder. You did and are doing an exemplary job Gandy.
