a promise is a cloud

A'idah

egyptian | chestnut | wanderer

Delicate, thin nostrils drink in the salty air around her, desperately trying to keep her breathing even. The ocean desperately tried to pull her under the surface, but each stroke of her chestnut legs kept her from being drug under. Nervously her pointed ears flick on top of her crown, she had never liked swimming in the salty waters. It had always caused her nerves to rise from deep in her chest, maybe it was the fear of deep water or maybe it was because she felt more comfortable with her hooves in sand. Striking out each of her limbs, her strength beginning to wain with each stroke. Caramel eyes search for the stud colt that she had met back in the meadow, she had followed him, curious of what the Forest looked like. With relief her eyes fall on the painted body of Braylen, she had not lost her way this time.

Finally her hooves touch the sandy beach of the forest, stepping proudly from the water, her hooves dig into the sand of the beach. Wet tassels hang across her hocks, brushing them with each swish of her tail. Shaking the excess water from her coat, she glides up the beach towards Braylen. Caramel eyes scan the forest line before her, a bit of nervous energy begins to bubble up from her chest. Stepping lightly she nears Braylen just as he speaks. An adventure is just what I seek. A smile crosses her dark lips, a mischievous desert smile, she knew that she would probably end up riling up this quiet forest herd. "Uhibu." Pausing she continues. "I love... to go on adventures. Show me your forest." Nudging him with her ebony muzzle she encourages him to lead the way.

Lifting her elegant head higher on her arched neck, she scans the tree line. She notices the many trails that weave through the forest. Hooves lightly caress the sand as she moves forward following behind Braylen. Thoughts rage inside of her skull, she would only visit this place. She was a wanderer. She belonged to no one.
