Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

it is to judge and to be judged, to dream and to accept

My right ear flipped backwards at the sound of paws on sand. Someone was coming this way. I didn’t look at first, silently trying to figure out who it was by the sound of their approach. Its wasn’t Dad; not big enough footfalls. Not Mom either; I probably never would have heard her coming. Before I could rapid-fire consider each wolf of the pack I knew, she called out to me. My body relaxed backwards towards the edge of the dune that I rested on, my head tipping backwards so that I could see her. Well, she was upside down, but there was no mistaking Cersei for any other wolf in Glorall. Or Moladion, for that matter. Really, I didn’t know my older sister very well. But there was no time like the present! And at least she was still around, unlike Octavia.

Rolling onto my spine, I flipped my body over so that I faced her without having my head upside down. I lifted my shoulders so that I was sternal, pulling my forlegs back under my chest slightly to support myself. “Practice. Someday I’ll be as silent as Mom.” I grinned, my breath creating small clouds in the air that almost immediately disappeared.

Drawing my hind legs underneath me, I pressed my paws into the earth and rose. I trotted down the snow covered dune, circling my sister once before sitting down next to her. “What about you, what are you doing up so early?” I tilted my head to look up at her, curious to know what her plans for the morning were. Perhaps I could join her in whatever she had intended to do. A day spent with my sister would be a nice way to spend a day. Maybe she could show me something I hadn’t ever seen before!

(omg this is so late. sorry. DX)
