Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Plus I had to rewrite this post because of the glitchy boards2go.... but I promise you this is not a lower quality than the first time I wrote it lol.

His ears swivel upwards at her sarcastic answer. His face slightly jerks back and eyes narrow slightly just as one does when they hear something weird. Ember usually got a good scolding for his sarcastic comments (usually from a higher level wolf within his old pack) or a face fill of spit from an angry wolf bring rubbed in the wrong places. Of course, there were a few females that responded to him in a purring manner... that always amused him. Oh how he loved ladies, yes. If they were willing to get with him, he was more than happy too. Though there was a softer side inside of Ember that if penetrated through, would show. He was actually quite a romantic. If there ever were a girl that caught his attention, he'd be right on trying to make her his girlfriend with lame pick up lines. Classics. Oh, but back to this lady, of course. His face shakes back to normal and this time he smiles; a change from his usual smirk. Sassed back at so soon? His decision to stick around and have a little chat with her would surely prove to be quite an amusing one.

He remains calmly seated as she nears the water to have a drink and for a moment, his mind told him to join her, but didn't even bother moving an inch. Besides, watching her was a bit better. He still wasn't quite over the fact that this wolf had reds in her pelt; something he had grown up to know as very uncommon. It made his mind rush with images of the kinds of appearances he had yet to see in this place. What he had next focused on were her eyes. Her reaction? A bity answer. He simply half smiled at her words before looking away towards his right shoulder for a moment, then swiveling back. "Staring is impolite? Take a compliment honey. If someone's staring, it may be for a reason. Use it to your advantage in the future..." he answers with no flirting tone in his voice, pauses, then continues "...I have no questions, but perhaps we can save that for another day." as he finishes, his eyebrows raise and eyes glisten as if to silently ask yes? from the female. Her next words make him let out a small, short laugh. Sunshine boy? Now that's one he hadn't heard yet, but there's always a first time for everything.

Hot head, twinklepelt, Prince Fiery, even hot mess. But sunshine boy? Certainly did get his attention. He couldn't help but flash a sarcastic smile and wink her way at sweet little nickname for Ember. Of course, he's every female's sunshine... well, at least he likes to act like so (mainly because it bothers the crap out of other wolves). "What gave it away Flower? My lost puppy eyes?" he jokes before letting out another single breath of laughter. Flower? This female seemed like anything but. Unless of course we were speaking of some sort of venus fly trap. "Just arrived a few hours ago." he states. Ember loves messing around, but doesn't dodge questions. In his mind, dodging questions was cowardly. Besides, there were plenty of other ways a wolf could have fun with someone.

But as his last words leave his mouth thoughts start running through his head again. Leaving his home (wow they must have thrown some party) was something he needed to do. He didn't fit in; they wanted him out of the neutral pack. Mainly because they had found out he did the dark dirty work for the Alpha. Yeah, even the neutral pack had it's own little dark side. Ember never talked about it though, not even to his (few) friends. If it hadn't been for that damned North Kingdom ambassador, his name would have remained clean, his job still a secret, and life would still have been easy there. One of the other dirty deed wolves had already "mysteriously" disappeared. Ember wasn't a coward, but he wasn't stupid either. No one wolf can take on +5 wolves at once. Good thing the chicks there were getting boring. At least it gave him a little more motivation to leave.
