A pirate flag and
The Lost Islands

A pirate flag and an island girl

And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

Drowsily Cae's cerulean eyes close, a perfect moment to let her sleepiness over take her. The afternoon sun filters down through the towering trees above her perlino body, casting shadows across her pale hide. A content sigh escaped her lips, for this moment she was care-free. Lyden and her were finally together, her heart had ached for his company and now her longing was fulfilled. Just as her eyes were about to close for her long overdue nap, a rustling in the bushes draws her attention.

Ears flicker nervously atop of her head, delicate nostrils quiver desperately searching for the source of the rustling. Just as her heart was thundering in her chest, a foal appears from the foliage for a brief moment. As quickly as he had appeared, he disappeared. Following close behind the mystery foal, another foal follows. Quickly Cae scrambles to her feet, whose foals were those? She had seen the foals of the Forest, and these ones she had never encountered.

As Cae followed the mystery foals, each step taken cautiously. Cae knew that their mothers would be close, and probably would not appreciate the perlino mare following them. As she nears a clearing, she halts on the edge and watches the scene unfold before her. Swiveling pale ears towards the threesome, she is surprised. The foal following was an orphan, a tinge of sadness tugs at her heart. Poor thing.

Cae watches quietly from the cover of the forest, waiting for the right moment to approach the painted perlino mare. Her facial expressions were vaguely familiar. Who was this strange mare? Cae had met the mares of the herd, this one did not reside in the Forest. Than the mare lets out a call that rings through the Forest, Cae assumed it was for either Lyden or Gandy. Gathering every bit of courage, Cae steps from her cover into the sunlight.

Cae could not chase the feeling away that this mare was familiar, she was curious of where she knew the perlino mare from. Perhaps she had seen her in another place or perhaps she had known her on her past Island. "I am Caesicus, or if you like, Cae. Is there anything that I can help you with?" She tried not to let the mare before her see the nervousness that consumed her. She knew that either Lyden or Gandy would appear soon, Gandy would probably chase her off. Scolding her for approaching strangers, but Cae was only trying to be friendly. Lyden would be happy that she was greeting the newcomers to the Forest.
