Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Angel in the Dark

For a moment, nothing was said as Zeteri's booming words echoed around the trees and finally faded away. Tears streamed from her eyes as she lowered her gaze from Amutaq to the forest floor. Even her legs started trembling slightly after her outburst and she allowed her legs to rest by sitting on her haunches, still avoiding the male's gaze. She was a proud wolf from a long line of powerful kings and queens. It was rare that she allow her emotions to show in such a way when not surrounded by family. Why did she let her rage and worry take over like that? Yes, she was with her children and she trusted them completely. They were her world. But Amutaq... he was just their father. Nothing more. Right?

Tuari may not realize it now, but she took after Zeteri in many ways. The child didn't want her parents to fight, no child did, and she was going to take matters into her own paws. Moving out from behind her mother the pup stood between her parents with her wide eyes gazing deeply at each of them. She could not speak but she didn't have to. Her golden eyes spoke louder than any words. And just as suddenly as Tuari had moved, Yoska had let out a harsh bark that snapped Zeteri out of her mood. Mom and Dad had not heard their child utter a sound since the day of his birth and it was enough to grab their attention and focused on what really matter.

Zeteri watched her children move as one to get their parents to make up. Yoska even went as far as dragging his father closer so they were only a few inches apart. From here, the gold and onyx girl could see the wanderer a little better. He really was handsome. The same feelings she had that night when they first met came running back to her in a sudden flash and if her cheeks weren't covered in fur they would be red. His eyes were of the darkest green and his fur black, like her own. He had been a prime example of a male that night and he was again now. But it wasn't just his looks. As she listened she realized... Amutaq really was a good father.

He had taken their children to a place where he knew they would be safe. He made it so they survived their first winter. He had been there when she had not. This thought did nothing to stop the flow of tears. With a great sigh she finally let her eyes meet Amutaq's and a small smile spread across her lips. "I'm sorry, Amutaq. You are right. The children needed you and you do not know Taviora like I do. Thank you for keeping them safe. You are a good father, even if you never wanted to be one." Reaching forward to cover the distance between them, the once proud princess of Paracon gently licked the male's nose fondly. Then she looked at her children and smiled. They really were her offspring and she couldn't be any more proud of them then she was right now.
