Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

wolf

When she felt the pressure of a body next to her she jumped, thinking for a moment that he was back. That thought ended in a second when she realized that it was her friend and alpha Kalgalath. She felt foolish for thinking that it could have been the other one coming back and unwanted pools gathered in her yellow orbs. When the femme turned her head in embarrassment Kal pulled her closer to him. For a moment she allowed herself to lean into his touch, to feel comfort from someone else. All she wanted to do was to make the pain go away for once. To not feel like she wanted to end it all. Kal’s warmth spread through her as she leaned onto him. Chenzii changed tactics and instead turned her face into the silver brute’s shoulder, burying her head into his thick pelt and allowed herself to cry into him for a moment. She had never cried in front of anyone, not even the bastard that left her, but this time she did. She didn’t know how much she needed this, to just let her pain out. And somehow having someone else there made it feel better to let it out than if she had been alone. And Kal was one of the few lupines she truly trusted. Besides Magic she did not think that she trusted anyone else the way that she trusted him. If she could not let her emotions out around him then she would not be able to do so with anyone.

After Kal spoke to her for a moment the two stood, Chenzii getting to her paws much more slowly than the large and healthy brute. He was looking at her in her disheveled and weak state and she was once again embarrassed, more embarrassed than when she had been crying. She did not want her alpha to see her this way, in this hopeless and pitiful way. Her head turned away, ears pinned flat to her head, avoiding his gaze until he spoke. “Stay here a moment, my friend.” She nodded in understanding, still avoiding his artic gaze. The black femme sat in silence, looking towards the ground as he left. When he came back to her with a hare in his mouth she had not moved a muscle. Her nares flared at the scent of the freshly killed prey and her stomach grumbled unconsciously with hunger. She could not remember the last time that she had eaten. She stared at the hare, her mouth watering in hunger. “Eat this before you go. You must carry on and before anything else, your health is what I care most about. First and foremost you are my friend… the loyalty that I demand from you and all others in my pack is returned from me to you.” When the words “eat this” were out of his maw she tore hungrily into the fresh meat, blood staining her maw and canines. She kept her audettes perked to listen to the words that continued to be spoken by Kal. She now realized how rude she had been, not saving the brujo a scrap of meat of the prey that he himself had killed. She looked apologetically up at him, wondering if he would realize what it was that she was now feeling. ”Thank you Kal.”

When the ebony ess apologized for her appearance and actions the silver brute smiled kindly at her, “You are stronger than you know, Chenzii. You will find another, this time it will be one worthy of you.” She tried, but failed, to give him a smile in return, but she still did not feel like smiling, even with a fuller belly. ”One can only hope I suppose.” She sighed tiredly, even though she had done nothing to cause one to be tired, and spoke once more, now wondering how the brute himself was doing. ”Anyways…how are you? I’m glad to see that Zig has returned once more to you.” The femme hoped that she was not prying too much into the brute’s personal life, but she was confident that if she was he would tell her. Kal was not the type of wolf to speak just because someone asked, he wouldn’t say anything he wasn’t comfortable saying. The fae licked her maw, clearing some of the drying blood away as she sat down, yellow orbs looking into the artic blue orbs of her alpha.

“Testing my Reply”
"We were never meant to last," She whispers.
