Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

HEY BROTHER, THERE'S AN ENDLESS ROAD TO RE-DISCOVER, HEY SISTER, KNOW THE WATER'S SWEET BUT BLOOD IS THICKER. oH, IF THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN FOR YOU, THERE'S NOTHING IN THIS WORLD I WOULDN'T DO HEY BROTHER, DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN ONE ANOTHER? HEY SISTER, DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN LOVE, I WONDER? OH, IF THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN, THERE'S NOTHING IN THIS WORLD I WOULDN'T DO

It is dark and it is cold in this place. I know it all to well, it is a place I go to when I am unable to wake into this world, I do not like this place and I fear that I will not be allowed to wake up again like I have so many times before. I never should have allowed him to get that close to her, I should have stayed on the other side of her. I shouldn't have let him bite down. Why would I let him do such a thing? stupid stupid me. There are faces here now, faces I have not seen in a long time, faces that usher me back to the world of the living. I do not know how long I am here, only that it seems to take forever to do much of anything here. I do not like this place. The faces, those of my family. My true mother, of my siblings and Weylin is there too. Oh I'm so happy to see him. "Father!" though I shout here, it comes out as a murmur in the real world. A barely audible sound. "Father I miss you so much!" he shouts at the retreating faces. No! but... wait... there was faces missing... faces of wolves he loved and cherished. Weren't they all supposed to be here? to greet him into the next world? that's what this was right?

The warmth came back, slowly but slowly, and the light too, before I could do much of anything though there was a splash of coldness upon my shoulder and then a great fire of pain that flashed through my upper body. A growl releases from my parted lips. The time that I had been under, I figured I'd heard her voice but when my bright orange eyes open she is standing there before me, water dripping from her mouth down her neck. She is. Perhaps the most beautiful thing I had seen this whole day. Even Vega's pups couldn't compare to the way the sun splashed down on her face. It was like the world was seen in a new light. "You best not stop hunting rabbits," I grumbled out with a grimace of a smile as I tried to get my feet under me and lift myself out of the water, splashing waves meet my down turned face and water enters my half opened mouth. I try as hard as I can to remove it, flicking my tongue about in my mouth as distaste clearly is written upon my face.

"Ugh, he's lucky I didn't rip him in half" I say with a grumble as I resort to dragging my corpse of a body up the slight increase of the beach and out of the water. "I... I had this feeling, don't in the bottom of my gut that something was wrong..." another wince as I put too much pressure on my left paw and the pain sears a path through my flesh "My friend Vega, she had puppies... and well... she's my imprint, it's not like that" I say looking deep into Riopats eyes, the pain is there and perhaps even a bit of a new sparkle to them as well, "her mate had gone to find a healer, I... I think I saved one of the pups... but he burst into fast... far to fast for someone that big." I had always figured I was the biggest wolf in town, being that I was freakishly large for a pup born without his mothers milk. "He is the one who caused this... their healer was busy with Vega... so I left and came here, probably the stupidest thing to do... but I knew you.. you would be here... so I came here.. and well... now you're here... and I'm here... you're pretty" with that, and out of the water now, I slipped back into the darkness for another moment with my deceased family.
