Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Upon her return to her island, she had expected to find the familiar tawny form of Mortz lounging on her beach, instead, she finds him and a few others tangling with a maddened buffalo. Anger slices through her night time sea eyes, finding rest on Mortz's still healing body, narrowing just slightly as she watches the scene unfold before her. Praetor, one of the alpha's older children had been knocked to the side, though her worry was for the younger boy attached to the buffalo's tail. What was he doing such a stupidly brave thing for?

She rushes forward, her lithe frame making the run faster. She leaped over logs and tried to rush to the boys as the younger one releases his hold to check on Praetor. Dashing to them, Riopat feels every motherly instinct flash as the beast reels around and around, attempting to keep the wolves off of her. She would bite Mortz for his carelessness of his wounds once the beast was dead, once he finished with what he was doing. For now, she rushes to the boy, recognizing his fatigue just by a single look. "Praetor will be fine, come with me." She speaks with medical authority, the kind a doctor would give when telling you to elevate a limb.

She pushed against him, bodily moving the smaller boy toward her island and safety, his youth and inexperience far too great for her to let him linger here. Her focus is so intent on the boy she does not see the monstrous buffalo nor does she hear the snarling of wolves on a hunt any longer. "Please, let us go, this is no place for you yet." Once more she noses Judas away from the fray, only looking back to ensure no further harm came to any of her charges. Glorall had given her purpose, the wolves here had become as much her responsibility as they were Tesseract's, and she would not let them down when they might need her the most. She only hoped Judas would be more than cooperative in getting away from the fighting and chaos that he created.

"Are you injured? I can tell by looking at you that you have run yourself almost to death, what were you thinking? Making a buffalo mad, you're either really brave or really daft, but sometimes bravery cannot come without some measure of stupidity." She gives the boy a teasing smile, trying to hide the panic she held for all the wolves involved from the younger lad. "Lay here and rest. I must make sure none of the others get hurt." She says after she ensures he has no wounds or broken bones or any other injuries. Then, she sits, never really being good for hunting such large game, she simply watches as she has instructed the boy to do, hoping no one was going to be hurt, or worse.
