The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Grey Wind

The brute had returned to his home after one of the only missions that Marx had sent him out on. And now Marx had not been around for a bit. What was he to do without his commander? Of course he had Kershov, he would always have his king, but it had been Marx who had asked him to go out and investigate what Bright Moon was up to, if they were up to anything at all, and what the new alpha was like. The brute had heard rumors about Darcia and his pack, but that was the first time that he had actually visited the pack. And an interesting pack it was he thought. The first brute he had come across had been willing to tell everything he knew about the mysterious alpha after he had exchanged a few polite words. Was that all it took to learn their secrets? To pretend to be a polite wanderer looking for a home? If that was the case then it would be more than easy to discover anything that the pack may be up to. Thoughts of the mysterious leader of the pack were on the large brute’s mind when a familiar scent reached his nares. How ironic that he would be thinking of the brute when he decided to show up at Abendrot’s borders.

There had been a few newcomers at the borders recently, but he knew that this would not be one looking for a home, not this time. A smile appeared on the brute’s kissers as he headed towards the spot that he knew Darcia was waiting at. Had he figured out that “GreyJoy” had really been from Abendrot? Or would it be a surprise to see him here? The brute would soon find out one way or another. The brute chuckled darkly, looking forward to seeing this Darcia again. He seemed like quite an interesting fellow. And this time Ker would be around to meet him himself, instead of hearing about him from Grey Wind. After a few moments the brute walked through the trees to the borders where Darcia was, black pelt and mismatched orbs waiting. The grey titan approached silently, coming to a halt at the border, a few steps away from the other male. ”Hello again Darcia. Remember me?” he purred at the brute with a devilish smile upon his maw, ”Now what brings you all the way over to our borders?” Grey Wind’s words seemed friendly enough but his yellow orbs burned fiercely, staring down the alpha, wondering what it was that he was looking for here. The grey brute was ready for the other lupine, ready to attack if he was here to try and harm Ker at all, ready to defend his territory and home if that’s what it came to. He would relish in some bloodshed, especially the blood of one from Bright Moon, that would make it taste even sweeter on his tongue.

"Fight back,"He snarled.
