News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

love as its meant to be

I worried for her the whole time she was gone. This was her second fight against Purge and though I havd little doubt that she would come out successful, I also knew that it would take a toll on her. She returned to me bloody but triumphant and I didn't have the heart to take that away from her. I cleaned up her wounds the best I could and listened as she told me all about it. I still hate Purge with every fiber in my being and if there's ever been a wolf I want to put six feet under, it's her. She has targetted my home far too many times and hurt my mate too many times. Once would have been enough to earn this ire. Now I'm way past pissed. I want her head on a platter and I don't care how many assassins it takes to find her. I just want to be the one to end her.

I know that she shares my passion against the black and white female who seeks our throne. That's why she has offered ot fight her. She likes causing pain to Purge and while that's not a side of Isola I see often, I could not say I'm not proud to see it in this case. She's pretty damn sexy when she wants blood. As she turns to me this day, I have a feeling she has something up her sleeve. She's never been good at hiding it when she wants something and this is no different. I've only been waiting for her to voice her thoughts. When she does, I blink a few times in surprise.

"A..celebration? Are you sure you're up for it."

My brow furrows as my eyes darken with worry. She knows fully well that I think she should be at home resting in our den while I nurse her back to health for the next few days. I truly wouldn't mind. I love babying her. And yet I can see that this is a fight I will not win. If Isola wants a celebration, she will have her celebration, whether I'm a part of it or not. Scowling to show my clear disapproval, I finally sigh heavily and shake my head.

"Then a celebration, you shall have. Come, my valiant warrior wolf."

My lips quirk, offering her a small smirk to let her know that I'm not upset with her for pushing the issue. I love my mate for all her quirks, even the ones I don't fully agree with. She throws her head up and calls and I join in her song, our voices becoming one as they echo through our pack lands. This will always be our home.

Heyel is, of course, one of the first to arrive. He finds himself a nice high place ot perch right off the back. I resist the urge to roll my eyes. This is the way he has always been. I can't help but be a little glad that he and Isola are over their spat though. I hated to see them fighting, no matter the reason. Just the thought of my own father makes my skin ripple with discomfort. He smiles at her, actually admitting that he's proud before his violet eyes find my own. I know immediately of his disapproval and my ears flick back by instinct. There was a time when I would cower before him, cringe at his voice when I knew he wasn't happy with me. But much time has passed between then and now. I stand proudly at Isola's side, even though I understand where he's coming from as her father. I know that should be the one with the scars, not her, yet does he really expect me to stand in her way? As her father, he knows the proud blood that runs through her veins. Does he really expect me to be able to fight that?

At his comment, I only meet his gaze, acknowledging with my gaze that he has spoken to me and that I have heard. We'll decide later where it goes from there. I watch as he turns to his mate, Zen and makes a petty bet. Again, I resist the urge to roll my eyes. He hasn't really aged a day, at least not in his head. Then again, Zen should know better than to bet against him, especially in the city of Angels.

Azrael is the next to arrive. His first question involves food. Is he serious? I lift a brow but keep my comments to myself. No "Hi, sister, glad you won. Hope your wounds get better?" Once he's done with her, he turns to his father, making a comment about being pleased that his sister knows how to draw hurt on others. What a family. Of course, my own has never been much different. He doesn't hardly acknowledge my presence but I don't mind in the least. This isn't the time or place to be playing I'm the leader and you bow to me. I could care less about Azrael's respect by this point. It's not worth the effort. As long as I have his sister's love and respect, that's all that matters.

My son, Izrael, comes next. He is growing so big, as is his sister, Calliel. From the moment he arrives on the scene, though, I can see that he's displeased about something. My brows furrow at his expression. He yells at her before turning on Heyel and the others, telling them to go away. I clear my throat, trying to gain his attention, to cut him off before he says something he'll regret. I shake my head, trying to tell him that he's gone too far, that he should stop now but my cues fall on deaf ears. I lower my head toward my son, lowering my voice for him and him alone.

"Izrael, your mother always looks like a queen, no matter what. Yes, I would like her to rest but she wants to celebrate with the pack that she protected in battle. That's admirable. That's something to look up to. I appreciate your concern, though."

I offer him a small smile. I've never been good at being hard on my own children. Calliel arrives next and I beam at her. I can still see the scars from the attack and again my skin crawls but I brush the morbid thoughts away. There's no room for that here. I'm glad to see her in brighter spirits. She looks like she's healing well. She leaps at Heyel, apparently trying to show off her stealth skills and I watch with pride. As she turns on her brother, though, I can't help but sigh in defeat and look toward her now with the same lowered head and voice.

"Don't call your brother an embarrassment, Calliel. He's only concerned about your mother's wellbeing."

I watch her as she moves toward Isola, talking about her mother with pride. It warms my heart to see her looking up to her mother so much but my eyes flicker with curiosity as she mentions Purge. Did she see her? Has she been out of the pack lands to see her? The last thing we need is Purge getting a hold of an Angel. She has no morals so there's no telling what she would do. I glance over as Calliel whispers something to Isola. I can't hear her but I smile anyway.

Zen is here with Heyel. She offers assistance to Isola, letting her know that she's here for her and I smile in appreciation. I watch with slight amusement as she continues to bet Heyel and keeps losing each time. At her pleas for mercy, my lips quirk, sure that Heyel will show no mercy. He's not really known for that.

A new wolf arrives next. I remember smelling this one on the borders. I nod my head in greeting and offer a smile and a wag of my tail to the female as she introduces herself as Rupture.

"I'm sure you won't, Rupture. Welcome to Diveen. I'm Kane and this is Isola and our kids, Izrael and Calliel. You already know Heyel. This is his mate, Zen and his son, Azrael."

I introduce everyone already present, wanting to get that out of the way so no one feels awkward or out of place. This is a time for family, for gathering, not a time for awkward introductions.

The next to arrive is Enderly. I offer him a nod as well. I hope he learned a lot from our spar. I haven't seen him since. I smell a mixture of scents on his coat, mostly from the open lands. I lift a brow, knowing that it's really none of my business but curious, none the less. He comes up to Isola and bows before her, offering her a greeting and a compliment. At least I think it was a compliment.
