It is a fortunate thing, perhaps, that while his frame is hardly tall, the boy is given to be near excessively muscular. A deep chest and shorter build assuring the male is a veritable powerhouse near entirely designed for tasks such as dragging the heavy carcass from the mountainside valley and into the pack land. Despite this strength however, the gleaming golden male is hardly invulnerable, his injured shoulder bruised and jarred from the she-goats horns assuring each movement is a painful protest as he seeks to tug and drag, grateful all the same perhaps- for Natu’s assistance. His mind however, is far and away from the task at hand, the implications of the hunt considered over and over within his mind. There are a number of things, he is assured- that could have been done better, in fact, next time, he is entirely sure there is at least several other methods he would like to experiment with in regards to capturing the animal and avoiding the injures he and his pack mate had taken. Perhaps, Natu feared to appear weak before him, her slighter, feminine frame given perhaps to lack the more natural strength of his own and yet truly the male is hardly fussed by such thoughts, his own far too taken with studying his bruised shoulder and the implications of such a thing to truly worry about Natu’s concerns in this moment. He is perhaps not so entirely traditional in his thoughts as others, the golden male content to drag the meal alone and yet he is pleased for her help all the same. After all- appearing masculine has never truly been his desire, the pursuit of natural academia a far more thrilling thing.

As the carcass is finally brought to a suitable eating place and Natu releases a howl to summon any pack seeking to share in this meal, Pan is given to seat himself as well, jaws parting to allow his tongue to loll forward in a heavy pant, cheat heaving with the effort of the hunt they have performed, head nodded momentarily in agreement to the words of the white-touched female whom had been his companion this day. It is rare indeed for the male to hunt with another aside from Niviaq, hunting, after all- while a perfect science, had long ago stopped holding any true fascination for him. It was a needed process, a facet of life and yet beyond that he held little interest, it was often to simple, to easy for his mind and yet he had moved to hunt today merely for publicity reasons. After all, if he sought to be advisor to the pack then should he not been seen to associate with them? To prove his use? To work with them in a companionable measure? It I also a rather remarkable thing, that two wolves alone had brought down such a substantial sheep and in truth he is quite pleased with himself and Natu.

“You are exhausted because your need for energy has outweighed your ability to consume air and your blood has thickened in response. Focus on controlling your breathing as you pant and you will find you recover quicker provided you do not continue to run about while you do it. Do you not find science fascinating?”

Natu, perhaps, did not find science fascinating and yet truly it would seem Pan is hardly given to care as to whether she does or not, a gorgeous grin offered to the girl before those strange black eyes search for his own children or Niviaq. If they do not manage to arrive in time, perhaps he shall bring home a limb for them to feast upon tonight in celebration of his ability to perform a physical task successfully.
