Vesti

What�s got her in a frenzy? the Voice asked, echoing Vesti�s own worries. She had itchy feet from time to time. But, clearly she had missed something. Something maybe she shouldn�t have. Did it have anything to do with that lovely arab mare Orhan had been so eager to get rid of? She had wondered if her presence had been what had startled Orhan that day.

El Aran spoke of danger, Vesti�s ears slid forward.

�What happened?� Vesti asked. She didn�t know who Ask was� she didn�t really care either. At one point, Vesti knew she believed in gods, devils, angels, heaven, and hell. Now, well, she wasn�t what you would call religious. She believed Powers existed. Like the Sea. Beyond that though� she wasn�t sure. She had never known any deity by a name. �What sign?�

You�re getting all concerned there. Slow down girl. You�re thinking the same thing. How would you know? You�re in my head! I know!

She knew there was urgency in El Aran�s voice. And where was Orhan? Shouldn�t he be involved in some sort of danger?
