Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Return to Lunar Children

I've been looking for a breath of life

It seems as if Malikye is not quite amused by her presence; something about her is off-putting to him and she rather likes it that way. At least he is much more civil looking with a clean pelt and without the rabid spittle clinging to his maw. This time there is merely the grease of fish flesh clinging to him. Still more sightly than before. She cocks her head to the side as she surveys him in return for his own icy stare. Something about him... well, he seems as if he has a purpose. Not that she knew he was out and about looking to get some femmes pregnant and all. It would suit her just fine to not know that - such a thing had been tried once upon her and hadn't ended well, although she was still quite young in body. Ah the memories of such a disgusting event leave a bitter taste in her mouth and a furious rage in her blood. All Aithne desires is herself in this life; she is the only one that knows herself intimately, the only one that can be counted on at all times. Children were a distraction, a nuisance - but then, was that what her own pitiful mother had thought of her? Hmm, an idea to ponder later when she is not trapped in his pale orbs.

His face is always so concealed. She has not clue to what he is thinking or where those thoughts might take him. Hell he might even decide her pestering wasn't worth much anymore and try to end it. Try being the key word. A hungry, dirty female is the worst possible target anyways. There is the frustration of such work laced in all movements and the nerves seek to part flesh as an outlet. Aithne does not expect the way he suddenly spouts off a compliment (at least she took it that way) and her lips crack open to release a throaty chuckle. "Well then we are quite opposites today, aren't we? You are looking quite fetching yourself. Hot date tonight?" He has turned back on his meal, clearly not bothered by her presence, but she still winks at him in case he looks up at her.

As he munches she leans the front of her body down on outstretched paws, her rump still in the air, and stretches with a wide yawn, ears flicked back and eyes hooded. Now Malikye steps towards her and she draws herself up once more, tail fluffing as she idly shakes herself, nonplussed by his approach. He can hide that annoyance all he wants but Malikye gives off such a presence in his irritation that she knows she has struck a chord. Doesn't really care, but files it away as her ears flick towards him to catch his words. If only she knew how much of a changed creature he is from their last meeting. She might get an ego.

She lets a beat of silence pass before them before leaning her maw closer to his, her breath mingling with his and her emerald eyes staring deep into his own. "Didn't you hear? There is always some way to break a curse in fairy tales. Wonder what yours is?" Quickly she withdraws her maw with a daring grin before darting past him and straight into the water.

She is quick in her bath, throwing her head beneath the cool water and jerking her body under after her. Down she pushes until she is at the bottom and then her paws push her to the top. The current rips the dirt from her in swirls. She makes one quick circuit in the middle of the river before paddling back. The water sluices over her as she climbs onto the embankment once more and shakes violently; her fur stands fluffed and on end but vanity is not quite her strong suit. "So Malikye," she begins conversationally, shaking away some more water that attempts to drip in her red-ringed eye. "What is it that Andras has tasked you to do? Or do you not seek a title? Does it include other wolves?"

Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing; bow down to the mighty
