Andraste had been offered a home, be it temporary or forever she wasn't sure yet. She had jumped on the opportunity to be surrounded by others and Sahin seemed like a friendly enough stallion to spend her time with. At the very least he wasn't aggressive or violent and that made her happy enough. And so here she was, still damp from the water and standing in Paradise. Or, that's what they called it at least.

A deep breath in and a deep breath out were the only sounds that could be heard from the blue mare. She had to admit that deep down she was nervous. She had never introduced herself to a new herd, had never had to be around others that weren't her sisters or mothers. She had never had to announce herself or answer questions or allow the others' eyes to roam all over her. She didn't even know how to start this whole thing. She had seen it done before but being the one doing the introduction seemed a whole lot more intimidating for some reason. She had watched as mares came into her home herd; watched as her fellow herdmates had eyed them. Some of the other mares had looked at the newcomers with curiousity or suspicion. Some of them even looked at the mares with jealousy. Andraste's mother had always said that the others were jealous over the new excitement that a new mare brought to their leader. A new toy was always more fun than the old ones.

Postponing this whole situation was not going to do anyone any favors, especially Andraste. And so with a quick inhale of courage she moved further into the territory, knowing now that if there were others around they would smell and hear her soon. Now it was just a guessing game to whether they approached her first or she stumbled onto them.
