News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

The idea of a belly filled with this leathery skin was not appealing but at the moment her own belly ached just as Sawyer's did and Aithne did not take to hunger well. That infernal churning in her gut that demanded attention could drive her into the most basic recesses of her mind and the bantering, fiery female could quickly become the most sour of companies. It would take her back to a place that she had longed to forget. Adopting to the easy prey of Moladion was a drop in the bucket compared to a few other things she had to work on, so this hunger was an unusual thing for her in her short stint in these lands. Iromar had plenty of it's own hares, scraggly beasts that they were, and there was aquatic life - normally rather stale tasting - and fresh eggs and avian creatures to be had. The gator just happened to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time when her belly growled. Plus she had an interest. It seemed the others here were both respective of the strength of these vile creatures but also enjoyed feasting on their meat. She was all for trying something new (most of the time), and had very little fear of well... anything.

"A gator," she growled back to Sawyer, her ears perked and focus intent upon her prey. Whether Sawyer came or not was irrelevant. She would have this animal in her jaws, feel the pressure of her tendons as they cramped down to severe the bones in that thick neck. Peel that leathery flesh away and take a bite of the gray meat beneath. It would fill her belly no matter the taste. She had eaten worse before, the rotting parts of dead animals in her travel to this land. It all ate just the same though it might upset her belly for a bit. But Aithne was a tough girl. Hadn't she already proved that?

If only she was not so focused on maiming the dinosaur-like animal she might have seen the look of shock on Sawyer's expressive face. She would find it comical, but as it were she was focused solely upon her prize. The lazy voice of her observant companion did not make her falter in her attack though it clearly told her he wasn't coming to her aid. Oh well. It wasn't as if he was an Iromar wolf anyways and really they had just only met. She wouldn't risk her life for him if the stakes were turned around and he was foolish enough to attack a gator even as young as this one was. But she was thicker, skilled, and of a more sturdy build. And the fire, oh the fire within her, it burned in a frenzy as she tore into the skin and the hissing intensified.

Maybe Malikye didn't much care for Sawyer as her recruit, then again he hadn't much cared for her until he actually met her. It wasn't in Sawyer's favor that he decided to sit this one out, at least in the mind of the vampire wolf, but Aithne didn't begrudge him. It was in his self-interest to not get eaten by the violent animal; if he didn't know what he was doing, he'd only get himself caught between powerful, unyielding jaws and razor sharp teeth. The gator was furious, it's tail thrashing through the water and mouth snapping closed repeatedly. It was a strong opponent, jerking her body to and fro before finally settling in an attempt to roll. It didn't care that she ripped it's flesh as it did so. A claw caught her on the leg to leave a nice scratch that wasn't even acknowledged by a growl.

She is only half aware that Malikye has arrived on the scene and only due to his snarling. She has become familiar with his ever present snarling. The male was a rather unhappy camper though quite a specimen indeed. Fun to taunt as well. She rather liked their conversations. On it's side now and desperately attempting to roll over all the way, her neck yanked down and body twisted at an odd angle, Malikye darts in and rips at it's neck. The dying throes of the animal fuel her own attack. As Malikye rips it's front she too rips it's back with violent shakes and her own snarls to co-mingle with his. Blood stains the ground beneath her paws and splashes across her white paw.

She has already torn away some flesh and gulped it down, her ears falling back at the lack of taste, when Malikye stops his movements and draws her own attentions. Her belly demands more, not sated by the small slip of meat she swallowed, and her claws dig into the side of the carcass while she lifts her broad head to watch the pair. "He is my recruit, Malikye." She speaks up now after his insinuation that Sawyer has trespassed, her own voice firm, threatening, and protective. It is not in her nature to stand down whether another is in the throes of fury or not - Malikye knows this from experience. Plus she can't very well let him rip into the ebony boy so he could have his own meal. Almost distractedly she is watching the scene wondering if Malikye fights with his urges to consume the flesh of the other one.

It is startling when Mal's voice changes, his usually gruff words coming out lilting and almost... caring? Her dark emerald eyes survey him for a moment, meeting his own icy ones as her bloodied lips quirk up in a smirk, a mark of her insufferable pride. She lifts her black front foreleg to show the scratch that oozes blood slowly about halfway up to her knee joint. "It is only a flesh wound. More than this thing can say."

Aithne lays her paw on it's body again, claws digging in, and she looks almost like a leader in some victorious battle, her eyes glowing with some feral gleam. "To answer you, Sawyer, no, I have never done that before. Quite an experience. A rush too." Would Malikye be annoyed at the way she seemed to enjoy herself with this, as if the adrenaline from such a risky move fueled her? It left a static energy buzzing through her body as her eyes glanced between the two. "Malikye, this is Sawyer. Sawyer this is.. well, you get it. Don't be too harsh on him, Mal, I don't think you'd rush in to save someone you just met from such a creature, would you?" The way her last words were lilted and her eyes gleamed as they locked onto Malikye's were meant for the knowledge between them. No, he wouldn't. She knew that. Oh he had helped her, yet they seemed to have some uncommon way with each other, but he might in any other case wait for the wolf to die before consuming THEIR body; with subtle undertones she challenged him.

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.

Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
