Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The woodland is prime spot for her task for many reasons. Ambrosia had been here throughout the years many times, and knew the trees well. While it lurked with dangers, there were also sanctions and saviours hidden within. The trees themselves made wonderful cover, enabling a wolf with even her height to slip away or forth undetected. That very same cover made prey bountiful here- it would be a perfect spot to show Paravana where the dead things came from. With such thoughts coming to mind, the almost fully grown starmarked angel is glancing down at the young one by her side. Such beauty the small one held, as well as such a mature wisdom to her. Her cousin had voiced that she had always wanted to know where the dead things came from, and so she would follow the older female in order to be shown just that. Such an interesting way of thinking; Ambrosia was glad to have chosen the young female, out of all the children of Diveen.

It was not often one came across a different way of thinking. Most wolves, though they would not admit it, saw things in black and white. One way or the other. There was no inbetween, there was no other. But Ambrosia saw it, and she knew young Paravana did as well. The woods were perfect for such a thing because when she was young, she herself had been escorted to the very same spot for her own first lessons and even first venture outside of the packland. Granted, it had been cut short by the presence of an unknown, now to be known feral wolf, but it had been a learning experience all the same. Maddox had been a good teacher and guide, and Ambrosia knew he would make a lovely Guardian Angel- but just as she knew that, she knew she herself would make one just as good, if not better. But it wasn’t the idea of being better that drove the three year old to her goal still. It was the idea, the notion, and the simple action of protecting her loved ones that drove her.

This was her first task of three to undertake that Isola had asked of her, and without a doubt she knew she would go to any length to complete them. Even if Maddox wrapped his long overdue tasks up, and Isola chose him to be her Guardian Angel- she would still finish her duty, simply because it was her way and it had been asked of her. What sort of wolf would she be if she had asked to prove herself to her Aunt and leader, only to step down when another had proved themselves? Ambrosia would be right there with Maddox, in the end, showing her capabilities and always being at the ready should her pack, should her family ever need her. It wasn’t about finishing first or finishing better. It was all about protection and nothing more. Like she would protect Paravana this day, no matter the cost to her own life. Tossing a warm and easy smile toward the other girl, Ambrosia was keen in her observation of their surroundings as they closed in on the upcoming thicket.

This was the same area Maddox had taken her to all those years ago, and though the almost completely white toned girl was intent and thorough in her search, thus far there were no others in their immediate vicinity. Parting her slender but powerful jaw, her voice is for Paravana’s ears only, the tones of her voice being confident and content. “We might find others very much unlike ourselves out here, Paravana.” No weariness or fear taints her demeanor. Ambrosia knows what she is doing, and she knows herself very well. If anything, the angel was very much looking forward to this experience, and the bonding time she would gain with her lovely cousin. Turning to the girl as her pace slowed once only a few yards from the treeline, a smile is upon her features as she lowers her skull to be leveled with Paravana’s own. “Tell me, have you been outside of Diveen before?” A head tilt accompanies her words- a natural curiosity for a naturally intellectual wolf. There was nothing that said this couldn’t be a learning experience for the both of them.
