Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Light paws treaded on the forest foliage without a sound. Ears cocked, the gray vixen made her way through the tranquil section of Blossom. Everything here was bliss, life would be so different now. She wouldn't have to fight with her own pack for a small, meager rabbit. Her light green orbs darted about and scanned her surroundings. Birds chirped; squirrels and mice scampered away from the gray figurine. Everything was well. "You can't try to save everybody," a deep voice echoed in her head. It was poison, her memories were, and no matter how hard she tried to get rid of them, there was always a tumor of them that slowly seeped poison into her spirit. "Stop," she grunted quietly to herself. But she couldn't stop the poison from spilling.

"Today Nestrode fell off a cliff. And I tried to save him, but not to the best of my abilities," a dark, slate gray wolf said in a gruff voice as he bit the head of a tiny mouse. He looked up to the frightened gray pup with a small white diamond above her eyes. "Do you know why, Estrella?"

She pushed him away. Her father was long gone now, probably glad that there was one less mouth to feed. That is, if her pack still existed. But Sountta Clan would always survive. "Survival of the fittest" was the alpha's favorite motto. So now when the gray wolf made her way through the forest, you might be able to understand why she thought this place was heaven.

As the trees began to grow thinner and more sparse, she was aware of something huge, something looming. Her eyes gazed upwards and a huge formation arose out of the ground. Perhaps... perhaps it would be cold up there. No matter how hard life was in Sountta, she miseed her family and friends and the coldness. Her thick fur made her warm her, although fall would be coming soon. Estrella's nails clicked on the stone as she found a small path up the mountain to a cliff, worn down obviously by the nails and paws of foxes, wolves, badgers, and many more. She quickly went higher and higher until she reached the first cliff. There was a small gap where rocks fell out fron part of the next pack. Estrella cleared it in one single jump, not even a leap.

Ten or fifteen minutes later, she was halfway up the mountain. The gray vixen sat down on her haunches and allowed the cool, fresh air to invade her maw and her nares. Her light green spectacles closed in a moment of bliss. It certainly was beginning to grow a little coolor because of the altitude, though this mountain wasn't spectacularly high or anything. She continued on her way up, the only noise her soft breath and the clicking of her nails, and before she knew it, she was on a wide cliff at the top of the mountain. A small but extremely steep hill held the pointy peak of the mountain. I won't risk it. she told herself. For all she knew, on the other side of the peak there could have very well been a 20-foot drop.

Estrella turned and gazed over the scenery. Not a remnant of those two-legged filth to be scene. There was a large lake in the distance, fed by a river. There was also a thick forest, and that was most of Blossom. Nearby the mountain there was a cavernous cave that Estrella certainly wouldn't be going in. She'd had a run-in with a bear before, and she was lucky that her legs were blessed with the astonishing speed of a female wolf. She just sat, gazing over the beautiful wolf haven.
