Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

‘Hello brother!’ the words seemed to reach the ears of the opossum and it darted away leaving Nogitsune to collide with the ground offering him only a mouth full of snow. “Lamia!” Nogitsune snarled turning to face his sister; the anger clear in his eyes. He quickly shook snow off his pelt before making quick strides to her glaring down at his sisters wagging tail. Part of his brain screamed at him to punish her for such a needless loss but as much as he wanted too reprimand her thoughtlessness; he folded as he looked her over.

With a deep sigh he dropped his head a little before speaking to her again. “Lamia; you just cost me a meal… You really should pay more attention to what is going on around you before spouting of like a fool.” Nogitsune scolded but his eyes had grown much softer than when he spoke before. He extend his muzzle to his sister but would only wait briefly to see if she would respond to it.

He had often missed his time spent with her. She had been gone for far too long but the sweet scent of a pack he didn’t know and quietly his was drawn to the salty air. He then remembered her other inquiries and looked over her with a sigh. “I am well and what of you sister? As for home nothing has really changed.” He wondered if he should even tell her of their brothers death. Perhaps it wasn’t but it changed nothing even part of him desired to see how she would react.

“Their is one thing dearest sister, our brother; he is dead. Naberius is dead.” He said grimly. He had ever desire to seem sincerely broken by their brothers passing. Would she shed tears over their brothers death? Would she fall into a fit of rage or lay helplessly on the ground whimpering like a little whelp? Maybe the demons would frown on her showing such weakness, but it would be a lie to say he wasn’t interested in seeing it. Even more he would be their to take her pain away. Her loving brother would be there for her.

Maybe he really was a darker being than he had been around Shiloh and Aviias; a part of him desired to relish in the site of Lamia’s pain but another part truly did desire to comfort her should she be hurt. Even so… he would never do something to hurt her feelings; like insult her for any flaws or short comings she may have. He had even resisted laying a paw on her in anger. It was wrong for his kind perhaps; but he loved his sister; she would always be his first and best friend.
