I was marching beside the brown brute, paws flailing out in front of me like some strange strut as my light gold legs move about golden head whipping around lightly. As soon as I found out there was someone willing to teach me to hunt I had to jump on it! After all I had to start somewhere and I know father and mother have been trying to teach me but I get a little distracted by the strange colors about. I have never met Mr. Maddox before. I know he’s not really someone that my father hangs around, but father didn’t seem disapproving when I volunteered to go. Not at all actually. I was happy to follow the brown brute and listen as his tan voice floated around me the new color able to keep my attention a little better than the familiar gold and bright blue of my parents.

He talks about hares, white and fluffy things that I know father has brought home before. He’s a great hunter and provider for us and mother he’s brought home these weird brown things too and let me chase them around! It was fun for sure! My golden tail waved and I nodded my head to show Mr. Maddox that I understood. I look around staring at the few clumps of bushes at he motioned to before stopping suddly. My heart was pounding from excitement I wouldn’t be surprised if the hare could hear it. I look to Maddox expectantly waiting for something to happen. I am not sure what even. Do they just jump out? I let my bright blue and green flecked gaze go back to the brush eyes narrowing and focusing in. I don’t really see anything, but my nose told me otherwise.

I look to Maddox quizzically then wondering if I should approach. To be honest I sorta just want to go in paws blazing but something tells me that’s not how this works…
