Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

It wasn't a kiss. At least, Skipper didn't think so. Or maybe he just didn't want to believe that he felt so strongly for his first mate. After all, they were both boys, nearing adolescence, and it just.. Wasn't proper. Right? Well, he'd seen plenty of boy-boy couples, and even a few girl-girl couples, and they didn't seem the least bit phased. They seemed happy, even more so than some of the heterosexual couples that Skipper had met on his journey around Blossom. So maybe this feeling wasn't as unnatural as some thought. Still, Skipper was so weird about his feelings. Sometimes he wondered how well he really knew himself -- especially when he felt all these weird, tingling feelings that he couldn't really explain. Of course, those mainly happened when he would spot a blue coming to Row's cheeks, or when he'd hear the younger pirate laugh at a joke he told.

He shook his head, eyes averted down at his tan paws as Seerower jumped to his feet. Only seconds later did the small lad begin snapping at his captain. Really, Skipper was just trying to help his friend feel better. They were both going through a lot, which caused Skipper to just go along with his gut instinct and do whatever he thought would be right without taking the time to think it through. But now, he wasn't so sure if making Row feel better was all he wanted to do. Maybe that was his brain's way of telling him that he wanted to be closer to the younger pirate than he'd thought.

"I-I just wanted to help you feel better," Skipper whispered, shy for the very first time around the smaller lad. It made him feel just a bit better when Seerower decided that it was safe enough to lay next to him again. Yeah, he definitely wouldn't make that mistake again, not if it freaked Row out so badly. Skip huffed softly at the thought, lowering his head to rest on his tiny paws again, blue pools turned in Row's direction. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly, almost hesitantly, hating the silence that had fallen between them. What was happening to him? Maybe he was more screwed up than he thought.
