Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

How pleasant it was for the two of them to bound to one another - it was a scene she had admittedly been picturing for what seemed like far too long. It made her heart beat strangely, her mouth twisted into a smile that seemed far too big for her face. It couldn't be helped. It's not like she ever felt not good enough around him, anyway, so what did it matter? He'd seen her at her ugliest, her worst and her best already. This time was no different as she swatted at him with a paw, sneering at his comment before she poked into him with her muzzle.

"Let's get this straight, mister: if you're going back then I'm coming with you."

She puffed her chest out then, stepping back to narrowly avoid the flying water as his fur puffed out. He went from soggy to puff ball in a matter of seconds, a sight that brought a quiet laughter to her as she raised a brow. What he said next, though, made her suck in a breath so suddenly, her ears twisting back as her smile sunk and rose simultaneously. It made her feel so strange inside and yet it felt... good, as if he had plucked the very words from her lips and yet she could not help but shy away. She looked back over her shoulder for a moment, biting her lip as she tried to think of something to say. Part of her wanted to be herself and make some sort of smart comment and yet... she felt soft.

"You know..." she begun as she slowly turned back to him, her gangly smile replaced with something smaller, more serious, "I really missed you too. It really was too long without you here."

The words hung like a thick fog between them as she swallowed a ball of nerves that had formed in her throat, swaying a little from paw to paw in anticipation. Though he had been the one to say it first, she could not help but fear the potential for rejection.
