A great sigh escaped the new adult's lips as he lay upon the rocky beach. Another winter had come and gone and Judas had reached the age of four at long last. He was no longer a child but a man now. Someone who could hold responsibilities and be respected and... A giggle left the boy's mouth at the thought. He couldn't even think seriously without breaking into a fit of laughter. Who wanted to grow up? It sounded boring as hell and if he could stop it at all he was going to try. Rolling on to his back, the younger wolf let his tongue hang loose in a rather comical fashion as he tried to think of what to do. He thought about the hunt he had with Mana and that other wolfess. It was supposed to go off without a hitch and he would have come home as the victor with spoils to share and to gloat about. But then something had happened. Even as he started to think about it his heart gave a strange flutter within his chest. Having not spoken to anyone since his hunt, the young prince didn't know what had happened to him. Upon seeing Mana his life had changed, though he could not understand why. It was instinct that drew him to her and he knew, somehow, that no matter where she went he would be there. Always. With a sigh, Judas suddenly felt much older than he was. This had to change. Perhaps it was time to liven things up again. After the last time he had caused chaos it seemed like things had calmed down to the point of being boring again. He wasn't dumb enough to go back to Diveen and bring another one of those beasts back with him. He had almost gotten killed doing that. But, hey, it had been a ton of fun. No, today he would stay within Glorall. Perhaps he would travel to the island off the coast and see what was out there. He was an adult after all. He could make the swim. The tri colored wolf stood on the beach with his violet gaze looking at the island. The fresh, spring waves crashing along the shore looked swollen and powerful. Suddenly, Judas didn't feel as confident as he had before. He stood there on his own as the water rushed over his paws, debating if he really wanted to see what was on that island. |
