Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Return to Lunar Children

The smoke in the shadows Tess

I am not one to let my children's where abouts go unknown for too long. They are my children, and they were born with purpose, unlike some. They were born from blood most superior, and I expect much from them. It is Anselm whose sent I tracked this day. I know he has left Diveen for good, only to wander the lands of Moladion in search of blood. I know that he is after blood, I know him well. Eden, my dear Eden thirsts for other things, Ayal different as well, but Anselm seeks to drink blood. His scent had lead me to a body before, a body of a girl ripped and torn, her tongue missing from her very mouth. I do not know if he did it himself, as other scents were mixed in. I attempted to seek him out, but he is most...elusive recently, and my stomach does indeed growl and desire to feast.

I let my dark grey paws stalk in the shadows. I am hunting on this day, my nose keen on the scent of creature that I can feast upon. It is spring, and young are everywhere. It is the young who are weak and vulnerable, and if they are not worthy, I will steal their life as if they should not have existed to begin with.

The day is growing old. The sun is wishing to set in the coming hours. This means the young grow weary, and that means my senses grow heightened. The grass is lush and thick with spring, and the scent of pollen and flowers litter the air. I have always considered this an advantage, many creatures get confused with so much filth in the air. My dark form situates itself closer to the waterfalls. I know deer will wish to drink here, and I am a surprisingly patient female. I let my form nestle between two bushes that look out upon the water. I fully expected to wait on some young fawn to come walking into my jaws, and yet something else entirely happens. It is instead a year young buck, his first spring. Unfortunately for him, he walked with a quite subtle limp...at least, perhaps it was subtle to many, but to Ava, it was a glaring, screaming flaw.

My muscles tighten as the buck comes in for a drink. I see him as he comes forth, his back facing me as he lowers his head. My eyes of orange and blue hone in, and with grace and surprising ability, I rush forth like a wild shadow upon his heels. I am an impressive female, of strength and beauty, and I am a creature to witness as I act as the Godess of Death that I am. My jaws open, but I do not snarl needlessly. I let my form gain speed, his limp becoming more obvious and holding him back, as he splashes in the water with his feeble mind. I am certain he had just slipped on the sharp rocks in the area, the limb still freshly scarred. He panicked, jumping through the more delicate waterfalls, soaking himself and me as well with him. His hooves are not as keen on wetness, and my paws hold more grip. I feel the water clinging to my pelt, and yet I am driven forward until my teeth latch onto his hind leg. I do a violent pull back, clenching and twisting my head. It is his other leg, and surely will be enough to damage him for good. I am certain he will turn his head to lunge at me...and my mouth does give way to salivation at the chance to rip at his throat in but a moment...
