Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

fourteen - no heart - Heyel's soul - Spirane
sister of warlow, dam of sven *adopted*

this is her in blackouts

The boy she had stolen was fast becoming an adult. Staring at him now, now that no secrets could lie hidden between them, she is struck by the vast differences time had wrought upon him. The darkness of his coat against the white layer and his striking eyes, all combined with the way his body had now reached her own level and his muscles thickened, wrapping beautifully around his frame... it was breathtaking in a way. The way a mother can look upon a child and see the most minute changes. She had been so wrapped up in her own doings of late that she had forgotten to look to Sven, to watch as he grew; she had taken care of him, as much as he would let her anyways, and then set off to figure out things for herself. It was almost sad the way they had wasted away his childhood. There was nothing for it though, it wasn't as if she had ever expected such a level of peace between them. A time when she would look in his eyes and not think that only hate radiated back.

She had no idea if this was the clearing in which she had snatched away Sven's innocence and left a young pup to struggle in the world without his sight. There was never a thing she could do in this life to show her remorse to Heimdallr for such actions. There was nothing in this world that could make her forgive herself anyways. It is only through Sven's actions that she has let go of some of the burden of guilt that has weighed across her pale shoulders for so long. It is so rare, this feeling of glory and joy, and she will revel in it. She will share with him all that he should have known and she will devote her love to him no matter what she got in return.

Was that a smile, there, gracing his lips? A smile that might indicate that he did feel for her some warmth, that he might find her company pleasurable? In a blink of an eye it is gone but she feels a residual warmth in her chest, a bursting happiness. Really, if Natu was a bird she'd be tweeting a beautiful melody. She was proud of him not for him remaining with her or for going with his mother, but for choosing what he wanted above all. Even if that pride had a bit of selfishness tinged within it. She was adult enough to accept and acknowledge that.

"Do not be sorry for things out of your control, Sven. It was a sad time but all life must return to the world beyond and leave behind a piece of themselves here." Her voice is soft, lilting in the way she speaks as a faraway look enters her eye. She remembers her children, their small bodies pressed against hers, their young one's like Sven's and their tenacious personalities. And she remembers the keen knife of loss that cut her down. Make her wither in agony when she had no where to turn.

"In time I will speak with your brother. I will apologize for what I have done. I have taken something just as precious from him as I did from you, and there is nothing I can do to right that wrong." Natu pauses now, one forepaw sliding against the grass in her anxiousness. How does one tell another "hey, I'm sorry I blinded you, but I don't remember and I don't remember you either." Dispelling such unpleasant thoughts for the moment she turns her attention back to her adopted child.

Now she smiles, a sort of amused smile and she laughs gently. "He is a mighty fine warrior indeed and you have always been good enough, Sven. You look as though you will grow into a large wolf and I think perhaps Spirane needs more fighters. Would you like it if I spoke with him and asked if he might train you?" She is eager to help him and pleased that he has spilled his own fears to her. Sleekwing was an exceptional wolf, with his laid back attitude that could sooth a persons soul and ease their fears. Sven, as uncertain as he was, would find being in his company relaxing and focusing, Natu thought.
