The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

The days seemed to only drag on as he aged. He had found nothing to spark is interest in the swamps. Raven had taken to her own path and his family was not that close to begin with. His brother had been killed and his killer was not punished… No perhaps he didn’t care much for his dead brother but it just showed weakness on his families part. Still brother was a fool for his actions and deserved the outcome. Perhaps he would find peace in death but it has been a time since the death of the demon prince… As for Shiloh and Aviias he still cared dearly for them but he has yet to cross into Tavioria for a reunion. Perhaps I would be good to visit them soon but not to day. Today, he was going to find something to pique his interest.

Some time ago the earth shook… today he would find what destructive forces nature could create. It seemed their was always a beauty in the art of destruction and this place didn’t disappoint. He hadn’t explored much before making his way back to the entrance of the cave but it’s beauty was grand. The way the light illuminated so much through the smallest crevices and the tranquility of dripping wanter was enough to sooth the darkest and most restless of minds. Perhaps not a thought for his kind but he was pleased with his observations. So much so he continued to think deeply upon them as he started back for Iromar.

“Want to hunt?” It seems something always liked to ruin his time in thought he assures himself before looking to the speaker. The words come from a silvery coated yearling before that now was crossing his path with a sneer on his maw. Who did this runt think he was? I snarl reverberated in the back of Nogitsune’s throat and when the male looked back at him the only thing he desired to hunt was the foolish runt in front of him. His features displayed a dark grin as the visions of the pup laying in a pool of blood spun in his mind. No, no, no… the runt could be of more use alive then as decor for his den… Still he didn’t like the disrespect. Never would Andras receive such disrespect but how much like his father was he? He had not made a name like his father but soon enough he would. He watched as a hare scurried from the noise the male had made… If he wanted a hunting partner he would have to go for something worth his time. “If we are hunting together; we are going for something bigger.” Nogitsune smirked moving past the boy.
