Grimbaud looked up at the woman with eyes lit with hopeful joy; though she'd only just met the woman, and in a rather unusual way, she was - as usual - already set on befriending her. The woman knelt to my girl's level and Grim's grin widened to expose her several missing teeth. Her hands tangled in her own dress, a move that spoke of a bit of uncharacteristic shyness despite her cheerful 'meow'. I drifted closer, not near enough that I had to worry my presence would be intimidating, but close by in case my girl needed me. As I had with Mallos, though, I sensed that this woman had no ill intentions towards my fairy. Despite her fine clothing and poise, she seems rather unperturbed about her dress, nor the fact that she was hugged by a grubby-faced urchin in too-big clothing. Grim's eyes crinkled at the corners as she giggled, pressing her fingers to her mouth to hide that gap-toothed grin of hers, when the pale-haired woman noted her makeshift costume and correctly identified it. She leaned forward a little, as if confessing a grand secret, and even went so far as to put her hand to the side of her mouth as she spoke.

"I'm not a really a kitty, miss! I'm a Grimbaud!" she confessed, giggling again. Her eyes widened, head cocking to the side as the woman addressed her uneaten apple. Grim slowly nodded. "Especially when they're magic apples! Right?"

Of course, though she'd agreed, she quickly found something far more distracting than eating her apple: the woman's pale hair, so unlike her own. Almost of its own accord, one of her small, grubby hands lifted to gently stroke a stray strand of blond hair, Grim's features forming a picture of wonderment.

"Your hair is awful pretty. And you smell real nice," she said, returning her hand to her already mutilated dress and swaying a bit from side to side. All shyness was lost, however, when her focus turned to the monkey at the woman's side. Letting out a squeal of pure joy, Grimbaud went down to her knees. I could tell she was desperate to pet the creature, but we'd recently had a discussion on the proper way to approach unfamiliar animals. "Aren't you so pretty?" she cooed to Nalani. "Can I pet her, pretty please? I'll be so gentle!"

Grimbaud clasped her hands together in front of her, her eyes all but begging the woman for permission. The woman's attention slid to me in the process, and I took the opportunity to drift a bit nearer and do a more thorough study of the woman myself. At her greeting, I dipped my head slightly.

"Hello," I answered and, because Grim was now too preoccupied with the woman's familiar to do so, I added. "I'm Grim's familiar, Gisli."
