Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

i have promises to keep.

The girl was curious about what he was doing here. She stood fairly close he could tell by both her voice and the soft sounds of her breathing. His ears still were mostly filled with the waves of the ocean though. He had heard there is an island out there, but he wouldn’t dare do it. Crossing a river was one thing, it wasn’t safe thing to do and often he got to the other side and could be confused and other times he would be swimming for a while attempting to find his way to a bank he could climb. Yeah, it was one thing that took time for him to get used to.

The girl said thought that this water went on forever. Haziel was aware by now that the young thing was probably completely unaware of his blindness which he was happy for. She wouldn’t treat him different, not for now at least. His tail flicked and he lifted his head up and gave a deep sniff though detect something, that he assumed was the nearby island, he really couldn’t smell much else out over the water. He would probably never make it to the island but it was something he could dream about he supposed. It would be impossible less he clung to the tail of someone and h was honestly just a little too proud to be doing that. Then the girl spoke again almost sounding in awe.

”I can’t imagine.” He said being thoroughly honest to the girl he couldn’t see what it was like. ”Could go on forever I suppose. Or it could be like a very big river, there might be something on the other side somewhere very far away.” He added though he couldn’t know for sure he was certain it didn’t just end.

He turned his golden and blue eyes in the general direction of the girl then ears twitching again as she asked his name and he had given in in kind. However he was surprised when she had asked what his name meant and he gave a chuckle at that. It was… Ironic really the angel he was named after and what the name truly meant. ”It means ‘God Sees’ or ‘Vision of God’ if you prefer.” He says giving another chuckle. It was so ironic indeed. His parents had no idea of his ailments when they had christened him with this name. ”Mana is a pretty name. It is a type of energy I believe. Seems like that would fit.” He wondered if she would be surprised or if maybe he was incorrect in his assumptions and would be corrected. He would be fine either way she seemed a good girl though tenacious perhaps, she did not have a bad soul.

and miles to go before i sleep.
