Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

namira
what dreams are made of

She had to admit it seemed sort of odd that the girl stopped so suddenly; she could not help but think it might have been akin to how the spider had done so, too, when the bugs had gone in their direction. Her head slowly tilted as she contemplated the similarities, only straightening when the girl spoke once more. Quickly, the lilac of her eyes sought the other girl's, finding truth and kindness behind their reflection. Ever since her encounter with the smaller world, she had always been sure to investigate her company first. She did not, after all, wish to be in the company of spiders.

At Delya's words, Namira broke into a broad grin, taking a dainty step forward closer to the waters. They lapped at her paws, the water biting its way to her skin. It was... warm, she supposed, and whereas she might have been typically against revealing how silly she looked wet, she had faith that the other girl would not laugh. After all, she looked just as silly. It was a mutual silliness, Namira supposed and that was good enough.

"You're in luck! I've got plenty of company to give." With another cautious step, she finally gave in to her chilish awe and crouched, allowing the water to sweep up over her flanks and neck. It felt soothing, she had to admit, even though she could feel it gently pressing against her. What would happen if she slipped? The rocks below her paws felt funny like that - too wet, and for a moment, she hesitated, her eyes flashing with uncertainty. She was a paradox in that moment; a tomboy trapped in a princess' body. She wanted to dive in like Delya but her body told her no.

"Um, is this safe? I haven't been in this much water before...so..."

She remained steadily crouched in the shallower water, flashing a sheepish grin as she once more sought the girls eyes out. She wanted to find truth in there. If she was going to take a break from finding the new pack, then she wanted it to be one worth remembering.
